Abstract: A closure includes a polymeric top wall portion, a polymeric liner, a polymeric disc and a polymeric annular skirt portion. The polymeric disc is located between the polymeric top wall portion and the polymeric liner. The polymeric annular skirt portion depends from the polymeric top wall portion. The annular skirt portion includes: (1) an internal thread formation for mating engagement with an external thread formation of a container; and (2) an internal prying projection to assist in removing the closure from the container. At least a portion of the internal prying projection is located nearer the polymeric top wall portion than the internal thread formation.

Abstract: An anti-counterfeit bottle cap, having a body (10) and a safety ring bell (20), and a slit (30) in between; an anti-theft mechanism (40) is provided within the slit (30); the anti-theft mechanism (40) has upper rods (41), lower rods (43) and a tear ring (42) in between; upper ends of the upper rods (41) are connected to the body (10), lower ends of which are connected to the tear ring (42); upper ends of the lower rods (43) are connected with the tear ring (42), lower ends of which are connected with the safety ring belt (20). The tear ring is subject to irreversible plastic deformation after the body (10) disengages from the bottle mouth. Therefore, the tear ring (42) cannot be restored. The torn and broken upper rods (41), lower rods (43) or tear ring (42) cannot be glued back to its/their original position(s).
Abstract: A lid assembly for connecting with an associated drinking cup includes a cover and a cap. The cover is configured to attach with the associated drinking cup for covering an open top of the associated drinking cup. The cover is formed of a soft, flexible material and includes an integrally molded spout and an integrally molded cap mount. The cap is configured to connect with the cap mount for pivotal movement with respect to the cover about a pivot axis. With the cap connected to the cap mount, the cap is moveable between an open position where the spout is accessible to be received inside a person's mouth and a closed position where the cap covers the spout.
Abstract: An open ended container and lid combination provides a tamper indicator with a lid and container combination which can be pushed on by a manufacture and then the tamper indicator removed to allow the lid to be unscrewed relative to the container, while also still being able to be screwed back to a closed, and possibly sealed configuration. Two possible seals may be used comprising a seal against an interior surface of an upwardly extending wall of the container and an extension/groove combination of the lid and container.

Abstract: A mechanical closure for includes a cap hinged in an oscillating manner about an axis, a pair of tie-rods respectively articulated at their first end on opposite sides of the cap with respect to the axis and hinged at their opposite second end on a corresponding first end of a respective arm. Each arm is provided at its second opposite end with a respective pin the pins being coaxial and intended to hinge the arms on a neck of a bottle. An arc connects the arms to one another so that the arms may be jointly actuated to rotate about the respective pin. The mechanical closure includes a tamper indicator provided to indicate the first opening of the mechanical closure includes a band which interconnects the arms and/or the tie-rods on the side opposite the arc so as to prevent the arms from oscillating about the respective pins.

Abstract: A pouring cap for a container automatically opens to pour the contents when tilted, and automatically closes when pouring is complete. The cap is affixed to the container along a bottom portion and to a locking upper lid along a top portion. An internal valve is provided which is guided vertically within the cap which covers a plurality of pouring apertures. When the cap and container are upturned during pouring, the valve is displaced to uncover the pouring apertures. When the container is downturned following pouring, the valve moves downwardly to cover the pouring apertures. When the locking upper lid is installed, it biases the valve to securely cover the pouring apertures.

The vent score is formed in the end wall and located beneath the nose of the tab. The opposing sidewalls are symmetric relative to vacuum panel and rib shape and placement. The ribs and controlled deflection panels cooperate to retain container shape upon filling and cooling and also improves bumper denting resistance, decreases vacuum pressure within the container, and increases light weight capability.

Abstract: A container case with locking device which allows tool-free unlocking and access includes a top cover having a latching protrusion, a base with sliding top cover, and a handle assembly fixed on the base. The handle assembly includes a resilient catch plate and a handle portion having an operating portion and an elastic arm. When the operating portion is forced by a thumb or finger, the latching protrusion is released from the elastic arm and the handle portion, and the top cover can slide free. When top cover is replaced, the latching protrusion slides and forces back the catch plate until the latching protrusion is again latched by the catch plate and the handle portion. The handle assembly is on the side plate of the base, operators need to use only one thumb or finger to open the top cover.

Abstract: This invention discloses an innovative device to effectively open a recipient or container whose cap is formed by a laminated surface, also forming a mouthpiece that allows the direct and hygienic consumption of the content within. The disclosed device is an overcap comprising: i) a base with an inner hollow space, and ii) a tab located within the hollow space of the base, having piercing and cutting means on one of its ends and comprising an inner hollow space; which is connected to the base by means of two end pieces forming an axis for the tab to be turned. Once said overcap is coupled with the container, the laminated surface can be pierced and removed/pulled away by turning the tab, thereby creating an opening in the laminate allowing the content to exit there from.
