  • Patent number: 10110866
Abstract: The embodiments described herein provide scanning laser devices that include an output optic configured to reduce image distortion. Specifically, the output optic is configured to reduce the distortions that could otherwise occur at relatively short projection distances, while also providing good image quality at relatively long projection distances. In general, the output optic includes a prism having a first surface, a second surface, and a third surface. The prism is configured such that the laser light interacts with each of these three surfaces while being transmitted through the prism and outputted to the display surface. The first, second, and third surfaces are each formed to have a freeform rotationally asymmetric shape, and these freeform rotationally asymmetric shapes are configured to work together to correct distortion in projected images.

  • Patent number: 10104335
Abstract: A device applied to a display includes a receiving circuit, a detecting circuit, an image processing circuit and a response time enhancing circuit. The receiving circuit receives an input image signal. The detecting circuit detects a frame rate of image data of a frame in the input image signal. The image processing circuit performs image processing on the image data of the frame to generate a target pixel value of multiple pixels in the frame. The response time enhancing circuit determines multiple adjusted pixel values of the multiple pixels according to the frame rate, and outputs the adjusted pixel values to a display panel. For a pixel, the adjusted pixel values generated for the pixel under different frame rates are different.

  • Patent number: 10101578
Abstract: A micro-electro-mechanical device, wherein a platform is formed in a top substrate and is configured to turn through a rotation angle. The platform has a slit and faces a cavity. A plurality of integrated photodetectors is formed in a bottom substrate so as to detect the light through the slit and generate signals correlated to the light through the slit. The area of the slit varies with the rotation angle of the platform and causes diffraction, more or less marked as a function of the angle. The difference between the signals of two photodetectors arranged at different positions with respect to the slit yields the angle.

  • Patent number: 10104330
Abstract: Various embodiments facilitate minimization of multimedia content currently being shown on a display in response to a mute command. In a first embodiment, a receiver is configured to provide multimedia content to an entertainment system and obtain commands from a control device. A user presses the control device's mute button and a mute command is transmitted from the control device to the receiver and the entertainment system. In response to the mute command, the entertainment system turns off its own audio and the receiver minimizes multimedia content currently being provided by the receiver to the entertainment system. In a second embodiment, the mute command is transmitted from the control device to the receiver. In response to the mute command, the receiver mutes and minimizes multimedia content currently being provided by the receiver to the entertainment system.

  • Patent number: 10045716
Abstract: Various patient monitoring systems can include a sensor configured to collect three dimensional information. The systems can identify a location of a patient support surface based on the three dimensional information. The systems can set a two dimensional planar threshold based on the patient support surface. The systems can identify a patient location above the patient support surface based on the three dimensional information and compare the patient location to the two dimensional planar threshold. Exceeding the threshold can be indicative of a high risk of a patient fall. An alert can be generated based on the threshold being exceeded. The systems can repeat the identification of the patient support surface location and the setting of the threshold to account for changes in the patient area.
