Abstract: A network of interconnected digital mirrors within a mall. A plurality of digital mirrors are installed in a participating stores, each comprising a digital screen, a video camera positioned to generate video stream of a user in front of the digital mirror, and a microprocessor. A centralized database stores merchandize data of participating stores. A controller is coupled to the mirrors and the centralized database and preprogrammed to perform the operations comprising: receiving the video stream from the video camera of one of the plurality of digital mirrors; identifying a merchandize item within the video stream; activating a recommendation engine to identify a complementary item from the centralized database that is complementary to the identified merchandize item; sending data regarding the complementary item and a store offering the complementary item to the digital mirror for display.

A described technique includes presenting, at an interactive beacon device, content including an interactive store catalog; receiving, at the interactive beacon device, user input responsive to the content; generating, at the interactive beacon device, a beacon message that can include transaction information based on the user input and the content, the transaction information including a service or product identifier corresponding to a product or service selected from the interactive store catalog; and transmitting, from the interactive beacon device, the beacon message over a short-range communication link to a mobile device. The beacon message can be configured to cause an application on the mobile device to advance a transaction associated with the transaction information.

Abstract: An information recommendation system and method of the present invention provide a user interface for the user to operate and thereby to generate some confirmation signals. A processing unit calculates recommendation parameters respectively based on aforesaid confirmation signals which includes a temperature confirmation signal, a physique confirmation signal, a residence confirmation signal, and a wearing habit confirmation signal. In another word, the generation of the recommendation information is based on the user's residence temperature and climate as well as the user's physique and wearing habits, and in particular, by further calculating on every recommendation parameters. Therefore, the products recommended by the recommendation information can better match the user's residence and habits whereby increasing the product fitness and decreasing the chances of waste due to unfitness.

Abstract: A method whereby the date of birth (age) of a customer engaging in e-commerce over the Internet is verified. The present invention is launched from a merchant's website when an age sensitive transaction—alcohol or tobacco purchase, access to an adult web site, etc.,—is being undertaken. The system first checks to see if the customer is a known entity with a known date of birth. If the customer is not appropriately known to the system, then the system checks public records from information supplied to the system by the customer. If the date of birth is still unknown after such a check, the customer uploads an image of photo identification which is checked for date of birth either via software and also a selfie holding the identification. Optional SMS code verification can be undertaken. E-signatures can be optionally collected. Once the date of birth is known, the transaction is approved or denied based on the totality of the facts of the transaction.
