Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a set of personalized complementary recommendations is disclosed. A user identifier and an anchor item identifier are received. A set of personalized-weighted items and a set of complimentary-weighted items are each generated based on the user identifier and the anchor item identifier. The personalized-weighted items are generated by a trained supervised model. The complementary-weighted items are generated by a trained unsupervised model. A set of personalized complementary recommendations including a subset of the personalized-weighted items and a subset of the complementary-weighted items is generated.

Abstract: An enhanced product customization service to automatically generate product customization parameters for customizing a product for a user in accordance with an interest of the user. Signals received from various sources are analyzed to identify an interest of the user and search queries that are generated by the user are also analyzed to identify an intention of the user to acquire a product. Then, based on having identified both the interest of the user and the intention of the user to acquire the product, product customization parameters are generated for customizing a physical characteristic of the product in accordance with the identified interest. In this way, embodiments of the enhanced product customization service may be deployed to customize a product for a user preemptively even without the user expressly indicating a specific interest in such a customized product.

Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for a network of personalized devices determining data for shopping predictions. A personalized device may include processing components for determining purchase predictions for one or more items to purchase on behalf of a user. The purchase predictions may be based on personality traits and other information that may indicate interests of the user. The purchase predictions may also be based on purchase information for the item, including inventory of the item, price of the item, availability of the item to the user, or other factor. Once the purchase prediction is determined, the personalized device may generate a purchase request for the item from a merchant having the item at a physical merchant location accessible to the personalized device or a delivery device associated with the personalized device. The personalized device may retrieve and deliver the purchased item.

When printed material is generated it includes an embedded ordering device (“EOD”) that can be activated by a user that is viewing the printed material. Upon activation, the EOD connects to a wireless network and sends a unique identifier data to a fulfillment service. The fulfillment service, upon receiving the unique identifier data determines an item associated with the unique identifier data and a delivery destination (e.g., the address to which the printed material was delivered) and fulfills the item to the delivery destination.

The user may then be provided with a shopping cart preview with the list of items from each resource provider. Abstract: The Loupe system creates a display and channel creation capability for art images to be presented to a user to optimize the user experience in viewing art images delivered onto digital displays, TVs and other screens facilitating the artwork transition with and without human interaction. Art imagery to be streamed includes imagery such as, but not limited to, filtered and personalized streams of art imagery. The Loupe system recommendations engine utilizes both human and machine curated data to determine factors of art images that optimize and extend the user time spent on viewing the images. The Loupe system gathers data that is analyzed through machine learning and AI algorithms to inform recommendations and select art images to optimize the user experience. The user may purchase fine art prints or select originals of the artwork image displayed, if available for sale, from the Loupe integrated electronic marketplace.

Abstract: A method and system of providing product-specific information to a user during shopping excursions is disclosed. The user can access a smart shopping assistant application to search for supplemental items that may need to be purchased in order to assemble or implement a desired product. The user can maintain a current home inventory of tools and products through the application to quickly determine whether any of the supplemental items are already in the user's possession. The application can also guide the user from their current location to the location of the required item, as well as present reminders to the user about the supplemental items during their shopping trip to ensure the user returns home with all of the required items.

Abstract: Described is a system for providing improved exploration for an interactive recommendation system by leveraging intuitive user feedback. The recommendation system may provide images of recommend items and receive user feedback preferences in the form of a natural language expression. Traditional techniques for interactive recommendation systems typically rely on restricted forms of user feedback such as binary relevance responses, or feedback based on a fixed set of relative attributes. In contrast, the recommendation system described herein introduces a new approach to interactive image recommendation (or image search) that enables users to provide feedback via natural language, allowing for a more natural and effective interaction. The recommendation system may be based on formulating the task of natural-language-based interactive image recommendation as a reinforcement learning problem, and reward the recommendation system for improving the rank of the target image during each iterative interaction.
