    Abstract: A chaff resistant and economically recyclable dunnage tray is disclosed. In one aspect, the dunnage tray includes a base portion formed from a first material and a top portion formed from a second material. The top portion is secured to the base portion, and defines at least one cavity or recess for supporting a machine component. The first and second materials are high density polyethylene (HDPE) materials with the second material including polyethylene elastomers, or plastomers. In one example, the dunnage tray is formed by thermoforming a co-extruded sheet including a first layer corresponding to the bottom structural portion and a second layer corresponding to the elastomer or plastomer portion. In one example, the dunnage tray is formed by thermoforming an extruded sheet to form the base portion and by attaching separately formed top portions with polyethylene elastomers, or plastomers to the thermoformed base portion.

    Abstract: A raw material gas is supplied to a space in which a silicon carbide seed crystal is placed. A silicon carbide single crystal is grown on the seed crystal by keeping a monosilane partial pressure at 4 kPa or more and heating the space to a temperature of 2400° C. to 2700° C. The temperature of the space and supply of the raw material gas are controlled such that a temperature gradient of a growth crystal surface of the silicon carbide single crystal in a radial direction is 0.1° C./mm or less, and a radius of curvature of the growth crystal surface is 4.5 m or more, thereby producing a silicon carbide single crystal ingot having a growth length of 3 mm or more and an internal stress of 10 MPa or less. The ingot is then cut into a silicon carbide single crystal wafer.

The method includes applying tension in a planar direction of the thermoplastic plate at the time of holding at least the part of the peripheral edge portion of the thermoplastic plate in a molding frame defining a peripheral edge shape in a shape as a goal for reshaping. Since the thermoplastic plate is pulled in the planar direction during the heating of the thermoplastic plate, moderate tension acts on the thermoplastic plate to prevent breakage. The degree of curvature of the thermoplastic plate can be adjusted by adjusting the mass of each weight.
