  • Patent number: 11159961
Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for the analysis of antennas in a wireless network, and the ensuing detection of misaligned antennas. Images reflecting measures of interference associated with different antennas may be analyzed based on structural similarity index (“SSIM”) or other similarity analysis techniques, and antennas may be paired according to this analysis. The paired antennas may be compared to a known configuration. Mismatches may indicate misalignment or other malfunctions, based on which automated remedial measures (e.g., antenna realignment) may be performed.

  • Patent number: 11122391
Abstract: One or more location analysis computing devices, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed herein for determining the position of a mobile device (smartphone, tablet computer) within an interior of a vehicle. The position of the mobile device may be calculated by detecting changes in accelerometer data. The accelerometer data may first need to be translated to determine corresponding axes, since the device may not be right side up (e.g., in a pocket). The vehicle may travel over road discontinuities such as bumps, and calculating the position of the mobile device may be based on the different magnitude and angle resulting from a first tire and a second tire hitting the bump. Data from vehicle sensors or other mobile device sensors may also be used in the calculating. Once the position is determined, commands may be sent to the mobile device to deactivate certain functionality, or to a remote server for further processing.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for implementing a custodianship model for decentralized track fusion. A methodology implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes negotiating, between a first decentralized track fuser (DTF) and one or more peer DTFs. The method also includes accepting, by the first DTF, custodianship of a track of an object from one of the peer DTFs based on a first negotiation. The method further includes updating, by the first DTF, the track based on fusion of data items associated with the track. The data items are received from one or more of the peer DTFs. The method further includes transferring, by the first DTF, custodianship of the updated track to one of the peer DTFs based on a second negotiation. In some cases, the transfer may be initiated by detection of a failure state of the first DTF.

  • Patent number: 10911897
Abstract: A system for automatically ascertaining the location of wireless functional devices, such as lights and switches, in a building. Information from the devices is generated by receipt of electromagnetic signals from other devices, to calculate a best fit for the relative location of the devices in relation to each other. Preferably a map of the building is adduced to refine the location process, for instance by tying the location of a light switch to a wall or a light to a ceiling. The information is used to ascertain that, for example, two devices are in the same room and can be associated with each other. Account can be taken of variable features of the building such as partition walls, to update device settings. There is thus no need to survey the building manually.
