  • Patent number: 11449860
Abstract: Wait times at ATMs may undermine the utility of these self-service machines. ATMs are configured to provide faster self-service kiosks that allow users to quickly perform common financial transactions. However, it has been increasing common for users to have to wait on a line to access an ATM. Apparatus and methods are provided for a smart card that stages transactions by capturing the amount, pin and other necessary information on the smart card itself, before the user begins interacting with the ATM. Information captured by the smart card may be transferred to ATM when the smart card is inserted into ATM. The user does not provide the ATM with any additional information after inserted the smart card into the ATM, thereby improving the transaction processing efficiency of the ATM and enhancing user satisfaction.

  • Patent number: 11416925
Abstract: A system performs operations that include identifying a first subset of accounts from a set of accounts, each account in the first subset of accounts satisfying a first abuse score threshold for a first time period, the first abuse score threshold corresponding to a first buyer abuse component. The operations further include determining a first restriction rate for the first subset of accounts based on a number of accounts in the first subset of accounts that have been restricted for potential abuse. The operations also include comparing the first restriction rate with respective restriction rates of one or more other subsets of the set of accounts that correspond to one or more other abuse components, and based on the comparing, determining whether to adjust the first abuse score threshold.

  • Patent number: 11416946
Abstract: A computer implemented method for determining a primary movement window from a vehicle trip is presented. A client computing device may be placed in a vehicle, be free to move with respect to movement of the vehicle, and include an accelerometer. A computer network may receive a plurality of telematics data originating from the client computing device. One or more processors may summarize the plurality of telematics data at a specified sample rate, convert the plurality of telematics data from a time domain to a spectral domain, select one or more data points from the converted telematics data, and determine that a total spectral power of the selected data points meets a threshold value. The one or more processors may identify a first primary movement window including the selected data points if the total spectral power of the selected data points does not meet the threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11416849
Abstract: A method performed by a processor of a financial institution computing system includes authorizing an account holder to execute transactions in an MBC from a financial account of the account holder that includes funds in a fiat currency. A transaction request is received, including a request to transfer a first amount of funds from the financial account to a recipient. The first amount is defined in MBC. The financial account is debited by a second amount, which is an amount of fiat currency equivalent to the first amount of MBC. A service call is transmitted to the MBC partner. The service call includes instructions to create a temporary account to hold the MBC, to exchange the second amount from fiat currency to MBC, to credit the temporary account with the funds exchanged to MBC, and to transfer the first amount in MBC from the temporary account to the recipient.

  • Patent number: 11328330
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for processing invoices from overseas vendors and overseas carriers. The methods and systems retrieve (e.g., using various APIs) and rely on current data from the most accurate or up-to-date sources of such data, and then store the data in a single location as a “single source of truth” for invoice data. As a result, errors and time for processing overseas invoices are reduced because accurate data is more readily and promptly available for reconciling discrepancies and paying the invoices.

  • Patent number: 11321683
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for tokenized data having split payment instruction for multiple accounts in a chain transaction. A user may provide a payment to a merchant that sells one or more items to the user. In order to sell items, the merchant may utilize a partner service that provides resources for the merchant to sell the items, such as an online marketplace. The partner service may require a payment for each transaction by the merchant using the partner service. Thus, when a payment request is generated to the merchant for items sold to the user, the partner service may attach to the payment request and provide a split payment request for a split payment from the payment request. The payment between the user and merchant may be processed, and a separate transaction may provide the split payment automatically to the partner service from the merchant.

  • Patent number: 11321706
Abstract: The invention provides a method that allows an issuer system, e.g. of a bank, to have generated a plurality of anonymous accounts and cards for working up a stock and to only personalize them individually if required. In the personalization step at the card issuer, e.g. in the bank branch, a printing of the back side does not have to be performed, instead all the necessary printing of the back side is already effected at the card manufacturer during the manufacturing of the anonymous card. As a result, a simple, low-cost printer without a back-side printing option can be utilized for the personalization of the anonymous card.

  • Patent number: 11315108
Abstract: A payment service generates multiple user profiles, each profile associated with a different user. Each user profile may be linked to multiple transaction cards and multiple numerical balances. Multiple transaction cards can be linked to a same numerical balance—even if the cards are from different user profiles. Restrictions, such as transaction type blacklists and whitelists or parent/guardian permission relationships, can be placed on particular numerical balances, or on access to particular numerical balances by particular cards. Numerical balances and transactions using particular cards may be tracked using user profiles with access to those cards and numerical balances.
