The method is used in a cellular network and includes: finding at least one qualified user equipment according to a determining method, and transmitting a handover-transient request to the qualified UE; finding and transmitting an access request to a wireless local area network after the UE receives the handover-transient request; transmitting a handover-transient ACK to a mobility management entity when the qualified user equipment accesses the wireless local area network; and releasing a bearer resource of the qualified user equipment when the MME receives the handover-transient ACK, retaining bearer information of the qualified user equipment, and handing over the qualified user equipment from the cellular network to the wireless local area network.

    Abstract: With the proliferation of Machine-Type Communication (MTC), an excessive use of device trigger messages in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) network can have negative effects on user equipment (UE). These effect can include a shortening of UE battery life and/or excessive signalling caused by the frequent changing from an idle mode to an active mode. An MTC Interworking Function (MTC-IWF) can be configured to determine the status of a UE to which a device trigger message is intended. If the device trigger message is low priority and the UE is in an idle state, the MTC-IWF or Mobile Management Entity (MME)/Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN)/Mobile Switching Center (MSC) can buffer the device trigger message.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides for the determination of bandwidth allocation of inter-block traffic in a data center network. It employs a number of optimization objectives and a heuristic water-filling strategy to avoid producing unnecessary paths and to avoid determining paths that would be unavailable when actually needed. Allocation may be adjusted incrementally upon node and link failure, for instance to perform only the minimal allocation changes necessary. If demand between a source and a destination cannot be satisfied, a decomposition process may be used to allocate remaining demand. One aspect constructs a graph for route computation based on inter-block topology. Here, the graph initially starts with a highest level of abstraction with each node representing a middle block, and gradually reduces the abstraction level to identify paths of mixed abstraction level to satisfy additional demand.

The disclosure further discloses a system for triggering an MTC device corresponding to the method. With the disclosure, an MTC device in an unattached state can be triggered.
