Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a radiation treatment plan using inverse planning objectives that are automatically determined based on patient data and the physical capabilities of the radiation treatment system are provided. In particular, the planned target volumes and organ-at-risk (OAR) volumes are used to automatically partition the OAR volumes into one or more avoidance volumes, for which particular inverse planning objectives are established based on the physical capabilities of the treatment system. As an example, an inverse planning objective may include establishing a particular dose gradient over one or more avoidance volumes. Because such inverse planning objectives are based on conditions and constraints of the treatment system physics, rather than a desired percentage of the prescribed dose, they may be referred to as “physical objectives.

Abstract: Brachytherapy seed insertion and fixation devices and systems to decrease implanted brachytherapy seed migration within tissue and minimize trauma. Component(s) with cavity or opening features are attached to a brachytherapy seed or series of seeds. The cavity or opening features interact with the patient's tissue to fix the seed and component assembly in place and inhibit movement/migration of the seed(s). The cavity or opening features may optionally be filled with an adhesive or other beneficial material. The seed(s) or seed and component assembly may be inserted using a delivery device having a needle through which the seed(s) or assembly are implanted and a stylet extending through the needle to cut tissue and facilitate insertion of the needle. The stylet has a reduced diameter cutting tip to cut a narrow hole in tissue, and a tapered region that stretches the narrow hole to accommodate insertion of the larger diameter needle.

An elongated body of the penile insert device can have a proximal end, a distal end, a first side edge, a second side edge, a top surface, and a bottom surface. Each of the first and second side edges is formed by a plurality of alternating lateral plateaus and lateral valleys. The lateral plateaus are smoothly connected to adjacent lateral plateaus by the lateral valleys. The lateral valleys of the first side edge is staggered with respect to the lateral valleys of the second side edge such that the lateral plateaus and valleys of the first lateral side and the lateral plateaus and valleys of the second side edge form a zigzag pattern in the body.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein provide a mechanism for transducing transverse vibrational energy into an elastic body of a sexual stimulation device by directly driving the transverse modes of vibration of the elastic body. Additionally, by using an actuator that transduces a force that is proportional to the input current or voltage, the vibration may be driven with any arbitrary waveform.
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods for promoting female sexual wellness and function. The devices, systems, and methods encourage clitoral engorgement using suction over the clitoris combined with vibratory stimulation. In some embodiments, a device is capable of operation in an automatic attachment (autoattach) mode, in which detecting attachment of the device to user tissue (e.g. through detection of a positive pressure in a tissue-contacting chamber) automatically triggers starting a suction pump to secure the device in place. Suction settings such as a target negative pressure may be determined according to a dynamically-evaluated quality of a seal established between the device and user tissue. The quality of the seal may be determined by identifying drops in the absolute value of negative pressure that are not readily compensated for by the suction pump.

Abstract: A radiotherapy equipment control device acquires reference position information for a specific location at a reference time. Furthermore, representative point reference position information is generated from reference position information for a plurality of markers at the reference time, and relative position information up to the reference position information for the specific location is generated. Moreover, representative point position information at another time is generated from the position information for a plurality of markers in a subject at the other time, which differs from the reference time. In addition, position information for the specific location at the other time is generated from the representative point position information and the relative position information.
