  • Patent number: 10699814
Abstract: The task is to provide a system which supports smooth patient referral from a referral source medical institution to a referral destination medical institution and which particularly prevents readmission due to cases that are difficult to determine simply based on patient attributes or due to the quality of medical services. To achieve this task, a referral difficult degree calculation unit calculates a referral difficulty degree which quantifies the risk that a patient cannot be discharged because a referral destination cannot be found, in consideration of a readmission risk calculated by a readmission risk calculation unit, the geographical distance between the patient and the referral destination medical institution, the total number of patients accepted, and the number of beds available. This referral difficulty degree is outputted to an output unit of the referral source medical institution or the referral destination medical institution.

  • Patent number: 10685744
Abstract: Described herein are various technologies pertaining to storing and transmitting formatted genetic test results. A server computing device receives genetic test results from several genetics laboratories, where the genetic test results are in different formats. The server computing device formats each of the genetic test results such that the resultant formatted genetic test results have a uniform format. The server computing device receives a query from a client computing device that is displaying a graphical user interface (GUI) of an electronic health records application (EHR), and searches over the formatted genetic test results to generate search results, wherein the query includes an identifier for a patient whose medical record is being displayed in the GUI of the EHR. The server computing device transmits the search results to the client computing device, whereupon the search results are displayed on the display of the client computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for processing and storing eye-tracking data. A visual stimulus is provided to an experimental subject on a display. Eye-tracking data associated with the behavior of the experimental subject is acquired and stored while observing the visual stimulus on the display. The eye-tracking data is stored as primary data and secondary data, wherein the primary data is stored in an encrypted form using a secret key associated with the experimental subject. In response to a research request, the secondary data is transmitted for storage in a research database and, in response to a second research request authorized by the experimental subject, the primary data is transmitted for storage in the research database subsequent to decrypting the primary data using the secret key.

  • Patent number: 10600503
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a platform (e.g., Web-based) that enables basic and clinical research activities by integrating patient characteristics and clinical outcome data with a variety of high-throughput research data in a unified environment. While several rich data repositories for high dimensional research data exist in the public domain, most focus on a single data type and do not support integration across multiple technologies. The present invention in at least one embodiment includes a broad collection of bioinformatics and systems biology tools for analysis and visualization of four major “omics” types: DNA, mRNA, microRNA, and metabolites, as well as next-generation sequencing. The present invention helps facilitate systems medicine by providing easy identification of trends and patterns in integrated datasets and hence facilitate the use of better targeted therapies for cancer.
