Abstract: A multi-tool attachment having a configuration that is well-suited for incising material and performing various operations where two incising members are positioned on a main portion of the tool and the cutting-edge surfaces are in close engagement with one another at an interface point where the two blades meet in forceful engagement with one another.
Abstract: An automatic bead seating assembly to automatically move a bead seating assembly or manifold into contact with a wheel or tire assembly and cause the bead to be seated. The assembly comprises an extendable and retractable seater arm attached at one end to a base, with a bead seater or manifold assembly attached or mounted at the other end. The bead seater or manifold assembly may comprises a reservoir filled with compressed air or other gas, and a hose or pipe for movement of the air or gas from the reservoir to a nozzle of an appropriate size and shape to fit a particular wheel or tire. The seater arm extends forward until the bead seater or manifold assembly comes into contact with the wheel or tire assembly, whereupon air or gas from the manifold reservoir is released, causing the tire bead to be seated. The seater arm then retracts.

Abstract: A vacuum bag hold-down arrangement for a dust collection system maintains a negative pressure in the space between a dust collection drum and a plastic film liner or bag in the drum. A cyclonic separator at the station separates the dust from an air flow and deposits it into the liner in the drum. The hold-down arrangement employs a vacuum pump producing about 1 to 3 psig negative pressure. A vacuum conduit extends from the pump through a penetration in the drum and into the space between wall of the drum and the liner bag. A porous pad, e.g., open cell foam, is situated over the vacuum conduit and separates the bag liner from the vacuum conduit. This distributes the air flow into the vacuum conduit and creates a more uniform grip of the liner or bag to the drum.
Abstract: A robotic vacuum cleaner includes a casing with a motor-driven wheel unit mounted on a lower major wall thereof, and a tactile sensor unit yieldable radially relative to the casing. An electrical control unit is operable to control the wheel unit to operate in a starting mode in which the casing is moved along a spiral path, and, upon receipt of a switching signal generated by the sensor unit in response to a contact of the sensor unit with an obstacle, controls the wheel unit to operate in an edge-cleaning mode in which the wheel unit is initially turned to a normal angle, is then driven to move forward a predetermined distance, is subsequently turned to an activating angle, and is moved towards the obstacle to permit contact of the sensor unit with the obstacle so as to result in generation of switch signal enabling the wheel unit to continue to operate in the edge-cleaning mode.
Abstract: A scribing apparatus for scribing a substrate improves productivity as well as prevents substrate deterioration. The apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a wheel to scribe a substrate, a refrigerant supplier installed near one side of the wheel to spray a refrigerant to the substrate; and a hot steam supplier installed near the other side of the wheel to spray a hot steam to the substrate.
Abstract: A vehicle slide door temporary setting jig includes a door position holding mechanism for holding a slide door in a desired angular position relative to a vehicle body. The door position holding mechanism has an end extension of one link lever of a linkage projecting beyond an associated link pin, an arcuate guide member pivoted to the free end of an attachment frame and configured to define a path of movement of a tip end portion of the end extension as the link lever turns about the link pin, and a resilient member acting between the free end of the attachment frame and the arcuate guide member and resiliently urging the arcuate guide member against the tip end portion of the end extension.
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a glass substrate for an information recording medium having a high level of cleanness and superior smoothness. The manufacturing method includes washing a disk-shaped glass plate with an acid washing liquid, removing at least part of a surface layer, which is formed on the surface of the glass plate, by performing grinding with diamond abrasion grains, and washing the surface with a neutral or alkaline washing liquid.
Abstract: A boot slider includes a body including a compartment. A piston is disposed in the compartment and is moveable between a first position and a second position. A cap is mounted in the compartment in order to restrain movement of the piston. A plurality of arms is connected together by a ring, and the ring is adapted to be retained on the cap. The arms are closed when the piston is in the first position, and the arms are urged open when the piston is in the second position.
Abstract: A superabrasive wire saw-wound structure includes a superabrasive wire saw (10) formed with an average diameter D and a reel (1). The superabrasive wire saw (10) includes a core wire (11), a bonding material (12) surrounding a surface of the core wire (11), and a plurality of superabrasive grains (13) bonded to the surface of the core wire (11) with the bonding material (12). The reel (1) includes a peripheral surface (2) having one end (3) and the other end (4). The superabrasive wire saw (10) which is to be unreeled successively toward a workpiece is wound around the peripheral surface (2) reciprocatingly between the one end (3) and the other end (4) to be multi-layered. A pitch P for winding the superabrasive wire saw (10) around the peripheral surface (2) between the one end (3) and the other end (4) satisfies a relation of D<P<2D.
