Abstract: The present technology relates to a transmission device, a transmission method, a reception device, and a reception method that can enhance the accessibility for people with visual disabilities. The transmission device includes: a text-to-speech utterance metadata generation unit that generates text-to-speech utterance metadata about the text-to-speech utterance of display information as the producer intends; an electronic program information generation unit that generates electronic program information including the text-to-speech utterance metadata; and a transmission unit that transmits the electronic program information to the reception device capable of displaying the display information. The present technology can be applied, for example, to a transmitter capable of transmitting a digital broadcast signal.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for securing property are presented. A premise security system may be placed in a learning mode. Changes in position of a security sensor may be detected and used to set a permitted range of motion for the sensor. Further, a plurality of security sensor profiles may be stored, and each profile may identify a different predefined permitted range of motion of a sensor. The addition of a new sensor to a premise may be detected, and a user may be prompted, on a display, to identify a profile to be used to configure the new sensor.

A video configuration metadata file and a template video comprising one or more replaceable placeholders are received at a client device. User data id extracted from at least one user data source. The user data is validated based on a set of personalization parameters extracted from the user data source. The extracted user data is appended in the video configuration metadata file to generate an updated video configuration metadata file. The updated video configuration metadata file is parsed to generate one or more of overlay elements. The one or more placeholders are populated with corresponding one or more overlay elements. The overlay element is automatically arranging over the template video based on a set of predetermined rules and the personalized video content is presented.

The soundbar further sends a request for second information associated with the particular media item, receives, from a server of a cloud computing service, data representing the requested second information associated with the particular media item, causes a television to display graphical representations of the requested second information associated with the particular media item on a display of the television while the sound-bar playback device is playing back the audio associated with the particular media item.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclose involve a method, a device, and a system comprising a processor and a machine-readable storage medium storing at a set of instructions for identification and authentication of user profiles associated with a digital television system and displaying information related thereto. In example embodiments, the method includes identifying a user profile registered with a content presentation device based on received identification data that includes biometric data. Abstract: The present disclosure describes methods and systems directed at implementing a video thumbnail that facilitates user viewing of video content alongside additional content such as an electronic program guide. The video thumbnail would display the video content that was currently playing when the user requests access to the electronic program guide. The video thumbnail would be situated in a pre-defined portion of the display such that the information within the electronic program guide is not obscured. Furthermore, additional information (e.g. metadata) associated with the video thumbnail can be provided that provides information to the user about what is currently being displayed in the video thumbnail. Lastly, the user is able to perform actions with the electronic program guide without losing the video thumbnail so that the user is able to view the video content while the electronic program guide is displayed.

Abstract: Live event production and distribution networks, systems, apparatuses and methods related thereto are described herein. The described innovations may be used not only to present live events to audiences, but to do so in a way that provides audience energy and feedback to the performer(s) (e.g., a band) in a manner akin to that which they receive during a traditional live performance, thereby energizing and motivating the performers to give the best live performance they can, even in the absence of a co-located live audience. Some or all of the audience members may be represented by a visual surrogate displayed on an audience feedback screen set up to be viewable by the performers. The screen may be sized to fill a curtain window of stage on which the performers are performing, and the performers may optionally interact with one or more people in the audience during the live performance.
