Patent number: 5547161Abstract: The invention relates to the construction and arrangement of wall components which are to be attached to the posts and spars of a basic frame for machines, instruments, equipment and the like. These wall components extend from the middle of one post to the middle of another and are supported on the upper faces of the posts and the spars between them by their folded upper web. The side edges of the web extend to approximately the middle of the face of the post and then run obliquely inwards. A section covering the posts at the top is recessed where the web is supported. Running around the inside edge of the wall component there is a frame-like spacer, the depth of which determines the distance by which the outer wall of the wall component projects beyond the outside of the post.Type: GrantFiled: September 9, 1994Date of Patent: August 20, 1996Assignee: Bowe Systec AGInventors: Werner Gleich, Fritz D. Patent number: 5538215Abstract: A siderail socket or clamp for mounting a support rod of a surgical accessory on the siderail of a medical table comprises a frame defining first and second channels for receiving the siderail and the support rod, respectively; a first actuator for actuating the support rod along a path of travel transverse to an extension of the second channel and a second actuator extending into the first channel. The second actuator is moveable transversely to the path of travel in response to actuation of the support rod along the path of travel for actuating the siderail transversely to an extension of the first channel. The movement of the second actuator transversely to the path of travel of the support rod in the second channel permits the siderail socket to grip the siderail across two perpendicular dimensions, thereby reducing the "play" of the socket relative to the siderail.Type: GrantFiled: November 15, 1994Date of Patent: July 23, 1996Assignee: Midmark CorporationInventor: David P. Patent number: 5527008Abstract: The invention is directed to a cupholder comprising a drawer slidably mounted within a housing for movement between a stored position and a use position. The drawer has a semicircular recess in combination with an arm to form a cup retaining area. The arm is biased away from the drawer. In the stored position, the drawer is retained within the housing and the arm abuts the interior of the housing. In the use position, the arm is biased away from the drawer to its outermost position to form the largest size cup retaining area. The arm can be pivoted inward toward the drawer and locked in discrete positions by a ratchet to form cup retaining areas of decreasing size to accommodate different size containers. Once the arm is pivoted beyond the smallest size cup retaining area, the arm is automatically biased outwardly to its outermost position.Type: GrantFiled: January 11, 1994Date of Patent: June 18, 1996Assignee: Lescoa, Inc.Inventors: Paul C. Patent number: 5527007Abstract: A CDU hanger mount assembly and hanger is provided. The mount assembly and hanger allows the CDU to be supported by an object for supporting the CDU while the connecting point between the hanger mount and the pivot end of the hanger may be selectively moved from a point midway between the front and back of the CDU top toward the back of the CDU. This allows the CDU to be less displaced from the vertical upon displacing contact with an object such as a bedframe piece. The hanger and hanger mount assembly allows the alignment of the indicia on the CDU with the top surface of the material collected in the CDU to be a more accurate representation of the actual volume of material collected in the CDU. The mount assembly and hanger may also be used with medical devices other than CDUs.Type: GrantFiled: August 24, 1993Date of Patent: June 18, 1996Assignee: Sherwood Medical CompanyInventor: Eugene E.
