Abstract: A cap, mounted upon the stem of a suction cup, is axially repositionable by axial and/or tilting movement relative to the stem to selectively close or open fluid communication between the concave space defined by the cup element of the suction cup and the ambient environment.
Abstract: An adjustment mechanism for adjusting the height of a chair seat, table top or the relative position of other items includes an outer support tube and a telescoping, column tube subassembly. The column tube subassembly includes an inner support tube, a cylinder and a piston and piston rod subassembly. The piston rod is connected to the piston at one end and to the outer support tube at the other end. An elastomeric sleeve surrounds the cylinder. A valve controls flow of hydraulic fluid from the interior of the cylinder to and from an expandable chamber defined by the elastomeric sleeve. The piston snap-fits onto the piston rod and allows rotation of the column tube subassembly with respect to the outer support tube. A shock-absorbing element is disposed in the cylinder.
Abstract: A structure of a stand for liquid vessels is provided. The stand has an elastic bottom surface having a central portion which is displaceable by means of a lift apparatus to form a base with vacuum securement between the bottom surface and a base surface. The lift apparatus raises the central portion of the bottom surface of the base to form a suction holding force. A receiving cylinder controls positions and operations of the base and the lift apparatus. A support cylinder connects to the receiving cylinder. The configuration of the support cylinder may be adapted to fit various kinds of liquid vessels.

Abstract: A hook for use with a chain link fence where the hook starts as an L-shaped flat metal element and is formed into an integral piece having a first vertically disposed element integral with a second element which is folded relative to the first element along a fold line of 45 degrees so as to be generally parallel but spaced from the first element. A third element is integral with the first element and is folded to extend away from the first element to form an arm for supporting sports equipment or clothing. The 45 degree fold allows the hook to straddle a wire of the fence. Thus, the hook is simply constructed, elegantly formed and easily used.

Abstract: An extruded PVC clip-on label holder for use on glass shelves such as merchandise shelves in retail outlets has a label holder panel and a pair of resilient rearwardly extending arms forming a channel between which a shelf is gripped. The holder is suitable for use on both thinner and thicker glass shelves by virtue of a step which extends along the base of the channel in one corner. A thinner shelf is gripped between the arms with its front edge fitting over the step and abutting the rear surface of the label holder panel. A thicker shelf is gripped between the arms with its front edge abutting the step.
Abstract: A holder for a medicinal tubing, electric cable or the like in the vicinity of a patient is connected by a swivel pin formation to a coupling member or support which is attached via a wire segment to some object, the support being able to swing and slide on the wire segment.
Abstract: An apparatus for storing articles includes a rack, structure for supporting the rack, structure for rotatably connecting the rack to the structure for supporting so that the rack can rotate from a first stable position described by a horizontal plane to a second stable position described by a vertical plane, structure for fixedly holding the rack when the rack is in the first stable position; and structure for fixedly holding the rack when the rack is in the second stable position.
Abstract: An adjustable wrench-rack comprises a hanging body and two retaining bodies. The hanging body is provided with a plurality of locking holes. Each of the two retaining bodies is provided on a rear surface thereof with a plurality of threaded holes for fastening the retaining body to the hanging body by bolts engageable with the threaded holes and the locking holes. The two retaining bodies are provided respectively on a front surface thereof with a plurality of retaining slots in which the ring wrench, the double-ended wrench and the combination wrench are held securely. The retaining slots are provided respectively with an opening and a hooked body serving to prevent the wrench from slipping out of the retaining slot in which it is held.
Abstract: A vehicle support has two separate support members that can be connected by a center member of variable length. Each of the support members has casters for easy rolling, and a vertically adjustable beam for varying the height of the support. When two support members are connected by the center member, a stable vehicle support is formed. Cradles on the supports receive the axle or other part of a vehicle, and a chain can be passed over the axle and fixed to the support for fixing the vehicle to the vehicle support.
Abstract: A clamp assembly with a mounting member and a receiving member provides support for various utilities in a building. The receiving member is mounted on a wall or a support pole, especially a support pole used in a building having a flat roof. The mounting member is mounted on a drainpipe for the flat roof, a water pipe, a sprinkler system pipe, an electrical pipe, any processed piping and the like. The receiving member includes at least one slot capable of receiving a rod. The rod is secured to the mounting member.
Abstract: A preferred embodiment of the universal support bracket 10 is illustrated for supporting a fiber optic cable carrier 28 in a telecommunication overhead cable distribution system 12. The bracket 10 includes a body section 40 that has an arm 46 that extends outward with a supporting surface for receiving and supporting cable carrier 28 at various spaced locations. The support bracket 10 includes a second body section 40 that is supported therebetween by a brace 44 in which the body section 42 has complementary clamping members 54 and 56. The body section 42 has a vertical aperture 64, a horizontal aperture 68 and a rectangular aperture 72 for receiving and clamping the bracket 10 securely to the support rods either in an upright orientation or in a tilting, sideways orientation or to a side rail 18 of the distribution system.
Abstract: The anchor comprises a tubular plastic post having an abutment at one end and a mounting element at the other end. In the post is a pair of deflectable integral tabs that are substantially parallel. Each tab has a shoulder. A spring is disposed in the base between the abutment and the shoulders. The spring is inserted by deflecting the tabs outwardly until the spring passes the shoulders, whereupon the tabs snap back to a position precluding retrograde movement of the spring.
Abstract: A machine with vibration source includes a frame for carrying a vibration source such as a motor. A housing is attached to a bottom of the frame, in which a sphere made of a rigid material is housed rotation free in a manner that a portion of the sphere is projected from an opening at the bottom of the housing. The surface of a plate made of a rigid material contacts the portion of the sphere projecting from the housing and the plate is surrounded by a member of an elastic material. The elastic member has an upwardly extending portion which surrounds the housing, and therefore, the elastic member controls the relative position between the sphere and the plate, and resultingly, rolling of the machine can be suppressed. In addition, since the sphere can be rotated on the plate, horizontal vibration of the machine is absorbed to be suppressed. Furthermore, since the sphere is supported by the plate and the plate is supported by a floor via the elastic member, vertical vibration of the machine is also suppressed.

The channels are rotatable about a pin (28) which extends through upper and lower plates (30, 32). A disk shaped member (26) is supported on a lower support frame portion (48). The channels (24) are connected to brackets (40) which include a tab portions (42) which extends beneath the lower face (32) of the of the disk shaped member and is slidably positioned therewith. The platform is rotatable about the disk shaped member and can be fixed in a selected rotational position. The platform may be raised by the lower support frame portion using conventional lifting forks (64) of a forklift truck (66).
Abstract: A deployable stand has two legs pivoted to a mounting block attached to the exterior of a golf bag. The legs pivot on axes tangential to the bag circumference between a retracted mutually parallel condition and a mutually divergent deployed condition. Each leg has an extension rising above the pivot point. A hand grip is supported between the upper ends of the extensions and contains a pair of coil springs which urge the extensions apart, consequently biasing the legs towards the retracted condition. The legs are easily deployed for setting down the bag simply be squeezing the grip against the rim of the bag with one hand. The stand can be supported to the bag by a strap or can be a permanent part of the bag.
