Abstract: The invention relates to a bee hive system which includes a housing, at least one ambient condition sensor being adapted to sense an ambient condition in the housing, a first fan being adapted to generate an air flow in at least a portion of the housing, a container for a liquid having an opening, in which the container is arranged such that the air flow generated by the first fan at least partially passes the opening of the container, electronics connected to the ambient condition sensor and to the first fan, in which the electronics controls the first fan according to the sensed ambient condition.
Abstract: The adjustable frame for a riding saddle includes a saddle tree arranged on a portion of a riding saddle and having two longitudinal arms and at least one rotatable continuous part, passing through the saddle tree. An upper portion of the rail is easily accessible without requiring the disassembly of any component. The opening and closing of the reinforcement parts of the saddle tree, that are driven by the rotatable continuous part using a simple Allen wrench, are enabled.

Abstract: Animal feeders useful in feeding particular groups of animals are disclosed. Animal feeders described herein may, for example, include an electrically conductive exterior structure; a door; a door lock; a species recognition device; and an electric shock deterrent. Methods of feeding animals utilizing an electric shock deterrent are also disclosed.
Abstract: A system and method for generating high-yield plant production is disclosed. The system includes a container, a growing station, and a monitoring system. The growing station includes vertical racks, a lighting system, an irrigation system, a climate control system, and a ventilation system. The monitoring system monitors all of the systems in the growing station, as well as the environment within the container, to provide real-time data and alerts to a user.
Abstract: A birdfeeder having a one-touch removable base portion and a stationary upper main body portion is provided. The one-touch removable base portion serves as the bottom of the birdfeeder and may have a generally circular housing wherein a spring tensioned pin moves from a closed First Position A to an open Second Position B within the circular housing of the base portion. The components of the one-touch removable base portion are protected from the outside elements by being located underneath the bottom of the birdfeeder. A first end of the movable pin extends outside the generally circular housing of the base portion and locks the removable base portion housing into the stationary upper main body portion of the birdfeeder. The birdfeeder further has a movable exterior guard which selectively either allows access to a feeding port or blocks access to the feeding port.
Abstract: A green wall planting support apparatus includes at least one hanging plate, a plurality of containers and a water supply system. The hanging plate includes a channel portion that is elongated in a lengthwise direction of the hanging plate and that has a first channel, and a hanging portion that is made in one piece with the channel portion and that is disposed in the lengthwise direction. The containers are detachably connected to the hanging plate for receiving plant and each includes a hanger portion that is detachably connected to the hanging portion. The water supply system includes at least one water dispensing unit that is mounted on the channel portion for conveying water to the container.
Abstract: A saddle accessory apparatus is comprised of at least one panel of fabric material having a saddle seat covering portion shaped and sized to cover a saddle seat when mounted thereupon, and first and second flap portions, each extending from opposing sides of the seat covering portion and sized and shaped to cover the stirrup leathers of an English-style saddle, and all or substantially all of the fenders of a Western-style saddle. The apparatus protects the rider's bare legs when riding in shorts. Another embodiment of the apparatus includes riding implement retention means for retention of crops, bats, rods and the like and preventing them from falling to the ground if accidentally dropped.

Abstract: Described herein is a module for covering a surface with vegetation. The module comprises a drainage board having an upper surface for supporting a growth medium. The drainage board has a plurality of moisture receptacles extending downwardly from the upper surface for collecting moisture. The module also comprises a plurality of sidewalls having a multiplicity of apertures therethrough. Each sidewall is coupled to the drainage board and extends upwardly therefrom. The sidewalls cooperate with each other so as to provide a perimeter for surrounding the growth medium. The module may also include other features. For example, the sidewalls may be pivotally coupled to the drainage board (e.g. along a living hinge), the module may include couplers for securing adjacent modules together, the sidewalls may include a reinforcing rib, the drainage board may include an opening for receiving an irrigation nozzle therein, and there may be edging for covering the sidewalls.

Abstract: A plant cultivating pot is disclosed. The pot has top and bottom wall spaced apart by a sidewall or panel. The cross-section of the top is larger than the bottom wall so that the sidewall is inwardly sloped from the bottom wall to the top. Openings in the sidewall provide points for planting a plant in media for supporting plant growth from within the interior volume of the body of the pot. The increasing cross-section of the pot from the top to the bottom maximizes exposure of each plant to sunlight. A frusto-pyramidal shaped, non-woven geotextile material provides an optimal shape and material for the body of the pot for growing strawberries.
Abstract: The growing management system optimizes peak aggregate nutrients for individual edible plants including vegetables, and herbs such that the individual edible plants are organized into a blend such that the aggregate of the individual edible plants are grown in a blend and that growing parameters including the use of seed coatings shift the occurrence of each of the individual edible plants peak nutrients to occur concurrently to maximize overall nutrient delivery. Abstract: A plant-cultivating method is provided which comprises a red light irradiation step (A) and a blue light irradiation step (B), wherein the step (A) and the step (B) are independently carried out for a predetermined period of time under cultivation conditions such that the temperature in a cultivation atmosphere at the step (A) is lower than that at the step (B). Preferably, the temperatures in a cultivation atmosphere at the step (A) and the step (B) are in the ranges of 12° C. to 19° C. and 20° C. to 25° C., respectively.
Abstract: A commercial plant cultivation system generates a controlled environment in which plants can be grown. A grow enclosure generate a controlled environment and can be either a mobile or fixed structure. A plurality of growing panels and a plurality of lighting fixtures are slidably mounted on a grow system support structure positioned within the grow enclosure. The plurality of growing panels can be positioned in either a vertical or horizontal configuration depending on the type of plants being grown. A nutrient delivery system is in fluid communication with the plurality of growing panels to deliver a nutrient solution to the plants. The nutrient solution is dispersed to the roots of the plants through a plurality of supply tubes positioned within each of the plurality of growing panels. Excess nutrient solution is collected and passed through a rock box in order to replenish nutrients and minerals.
Abstract: The pivoting stirrup system includes a foot support having a rear end, a front end, a first sidewall extending upwardly from a first side of the foot support and a second sidewall extending upwardly from a second side of the foot support, a first member pivotally connected to the first sidewall and a second member pivotally connected to the second sidewall. The first member and the second member are pivotally connected to a forward portion of the respective sidewalls. A first fastener extends through the first member and the first sidewall with a first bushing positioned upon the first fastener and a second fastener extends through the second member and the second sidewall with a second bushing positioned upon the second fastener.
Abstract: A variable angle stirrup support that acts as a stirrup leveling mechanism comprises a stirrup support bracket, a stirrup hanger rod support sleeve, and a stirrup hanger support member. The stirrup support bracket engages the lower end loop of a stirrup leather. The rotatable stirrup hanger rod support sleeve is positioned above the lower end loop of the stirrup leather for attaching the invention to a stirrup. The stirrup hanger support member connects the hanger rod support sleeve to the stirrup support bracket with a pivot pin positioned above the lower end loop of the stirrup leather to allow the stirrup support bracket to oscillate about a longitudinal axis between predetermined limited angles to align a stirrup's tread with a rider's leg and foot. A method of rotating a stirrup to align a stirrup's tread with a rider's leg and foot using the variable angle stirrup support is disclosed.
Abstract: A stackable elevated planter has a rectangular or oval body that holds potting soil. Two or four legs sockets are attached to and extend away from the bottom of the planter body to define a rectangle. Legs are provided such that each leg has one end sized to fit within one of the leg sockets. The legs have a length less that the length of the rectangle and an average width which is less than one fourth of the width of the rectangle such that the four legs can be laid next to one another within the planter body and a similar second planter will fit within that planter. The body of the second planter may be positioned over the four legs such that the leg sockets of the second planter body extend beyond the four legs and the leg sockets of the second planter may rest on the top surface of the base of the first planter. An optional shelf that fits within the planter body for storage and is attached to the legs when the planter is assembled may also be provided.
Abstract: A litter box assembly for house pets is disclosed, which includes a container rotatably mounted to a stand, allowing the litter box to rotate from its normal position to a cleaning position and/or a resetting position. The litter box assembly includes contact portions that contact a portion of the stand or the floor in the cleaning position and the resetting position. When the contact portions contact the stand or the floor, the vibration of the litter box container caused by the contact facilitates the movement and dislodging of litter and waste. This contact can be repeated to facilitate the cleaning of the container.

Abstract: A multi-segmented, soft-bodied, artificial fishing lure or swim bait with a natural profile includes plastic control planes in each body segment to generate a lure that is stable in the water, and demonstrates realistic swimming motions in a range of retrieve speeds and even when allowed to sink. At least one clear, stiff plastic control plane is inserted in each body segment to generate a lifelike swimming motion when the lure is retrieved. Each control plane may be moved within a range of positions to provide realistic motions for specific fishing techniques. The control planes inserted into and sometimes through the lure body are invisible in the water and are adjustable to accommodate a range of water conditions, densities and temperatures. The placement of control planes create the ability to limit unnatural/undesirable movements and expand or accentuate natural and desirable movements in each segment of the body of the lure.
Abstract: A modular enclosure both permits gardening and accommodates secure storage. The modular enclosure includes a raised gardening bed capable of accommodating a pot, a container or a box which can be used to grow a plant or fungus without requiring a user to bend over to access the pot, the container or the box. The secure storage mechanically coupled to the raised gardening bed requires a physical test for the user to access the secure storage. A drip edge immediately adjacent to the raised gardening bed permits water to drain from the raised gardening bed.
