Abstract: A holder that is designed to hold within a single molded structure up to four marking implements such as a carpenter's pencil or a lumber crayon. The marker holder, which is configured to resemble a Greek cross, consists of a vertical tube having a rectangular or circular cross-section, a right wall and a left wall. To the two walls is respectively attached a right horizontal tube and a left horizontal tube. Each tube includes a set of marker support tabs that grip and accessively retain the carpenter's pencil and the lumber crayon.

Abstract: A tubular mesh netting soap holder and dispenser having a handle having a wide slot and a narrow slot at opposing ends. The wide slot holds the netting closed end. A VELCRO® loop material closure strap having loop material on its inner side is attached to the tubular mesh at a soap bar receiving open end. The loop closure strap threads through the narrow slot at the other end of the handle. There is a VELCRO® hook material patch mounted on the handle top near the narrow slot, which mates with the loop closure strap on its inner side, once threaded through the smaller slot and pulled snug. As the soap bar is used, the loop closure strap is detached, pulled through the smaller slot until snug again, and remounted on the hook material patch. A suction cup is on the handle for wall hanging.

Abstract: An applicator for a fabric treatment to effect mechanical stain removal has a no rinse fabric treatment composition and an application device. The application device induces a certain frictional stress upon the fabric and has a frictional stress value on the fabric optimally chosen to effect fabric treatment and is at the same time kind to the fabric. Advantageously, the application device has a frictional stress value of from 0.05 N mm−2 to 1 N mm−2. The frictional stress should be high enough to ensure good mechanical stain removal, good delivery of the fabric treatment composition into the fabric and allow fabric treatment with fabric friendly chemical compositions at low levels.

Abstract: A new and improved ventilated commode device, kit and method of using is disclosed for using the device in removing odorous vapors from the immediate vicinity of the device into a sewer line. The ventilated commode device comprises a seat having a plurality of input vent holes fluidly communicating to an internal air passageway and terminating with an output vent hole positioned at the rear portion of the seat. The device also comprises a hinge having an air pathway fluidly connected to the output vent hole of the seat and fluidly connected to a hollow chamber in a toilet bowl. The hollow chamber comprises an air pump which actively moves the captured odorous vapors from the hollow chamber into the rear portion of the waste water drainage network of the toilet. The kit comprises the device and an annular gasket. The method of using the kit comprises the steps of activating, connecting, defecating, flushing, mounting, obtaining, placing, and plumbing.

Abstract: A cleaning brush comprises a brush embodiment, a telescopic tube, a valve assembly, a rotary connector, and a retaining sleeve wherein the brush embodiment having a threaded coupling hole disposed at the center thereof to be engaged with a threaded sleeve of the telescopic tube is provided with a through groove for a scraper strip to be adapted thereto. The valve assembly made up of a valve body, a valve sleeve and a switch sleeve is sleeve joined to an outer tube of the telescopic tube. A pivot rod of the retaining sleeve is led through a pivot hole of the rotary connector and fixedly located at a water inlet hole of the valve body thereof via ultrasonic wave or fastening agents.

Abstract: A plunger for use in manually pushing garbage down through the drain of a sink. The plunger is formed of a material that is sufficient light in weight for ease of use but also sufficiently hard to push the garbage. The plunger has a cylindrical shank that carries opposite bulbous distal ends. The distal ends have diameters which are sized larger than the shank so that a user can grasp either end to use as a hand hold while the other end pushes the garbage. The distal ends are shaped with flat pushing surfaces that have peripheral edges that are rounded to provide a smooth low friction action over the drain.

Abstract: An applicator brush for use in connection with a moisture-responsive adhesive, such as a cyanoacrylate adhesive, is made with bristles constructed of filaments of a synthetic polymeric material and treated by fluorination to provide a surface barrier against the permeation of the bristles by moisture. The applicator brush is furnished in an adhesive package in which bristles of the brush are in contact with adhesive carried in a reservoir of a container of the package.

Abstract: A cannula having a proximal end, a distal end, and a lumen extending between the proximal and distal ends is provided. The diameter of the lumen of the cannula can be varied to take into account differences in the diameter of access and target vessels during cannulation. The cannula is further characterized by at least one mechanism that, upon actuation, serves to alter the conformation of the cannula between a normal profile conformation and a low profile conformation. The normal profile conformation is characterized by the cannula having a lumen diameter at the point of insertion which is smaller than the lumen diameter both proximal and distal to the point of insertion, with the lumen diameter distal to the point of insertion also expandable to the diameter of the cannulized vessel of the patient. The low profile conformation is characterized by the cannula having a lumen diameter at the point of insertion that is greater than the lumen diameter distal to the point of insertion.

Abstract: The writing instrument includes a cap and a barrel. The cap includes threads which engage the threads on the barrel. In addition, the cap includes protrusions which engage protrusions on the barrel. The threads are designed so that the cap will engage the stop surface in approximately one third of a revolution. When the protrusions move past each other, the user perceives a tactile and/or audible indication. This indication advises the user that the cap has been fully attached to the barrel. In addition, the cap includes ribs on the exterior surface to assist the user in grasping the cap and in rotating the cap.

Abstract: A water-based solid marking composition comprises water, a humectant and a solidifying agent present in the weight ratio of 2˜3:1˜2:1. A water-based marking instrument comprising the water-based solid marking composition includes a body surrounding the water-based solid marking composition, a packing for supporting the lower portion of the water-based solid marking composition and for assisting the transportation of the water-based solid marking composition, and a screw facing the packing so as to move the packing upwardly and downwardly, which have advantages in color miscibility, affinity to paper, usability, color tone, less sludge on paper and removal of stains on undesired sites, can render watercolor images using a crayon pastel, a crayon, a colored pencil or a marker, can prevent the composition from feeling sticky in a user's hands and conserves resources, and protects our environment.

Abstract: A combination toothbrush and toothpaste dispenser is provided with a brush head, a brush head cover, a brush neck, a compression spring, a hollow cylindrical handle portion, a self rising bottom plate, a spring metal washer, and a floss retaining portion located at the bottom most area of the hollow handle. A floss cover plate covers the floss retaining portion. The metal washer has a plurality of radially extending fingers that frictionally engage the inner wall of the hollow handle portion. The compression spring is installed around the brush neck so that the brush neck is forced in an upward direction unless pressed by a user. The metal washer is fixedly attached to the underside of the self rising plate so that, as toothpaste is released on the brush head, the bottom plate and the spring washer rise.

Abstract: A water inlet control mechanism for cleaning brushes has a brush embodiment, a telescopic tube, a valve assembly, and a rotary connector wherein the brush embodiment having a through groove for a scraper strip to be adapted thereto is attached to one end of the telescopic tube. The valve assembly sleeve joined to an outer tube of the telescopic tube is mainly made up of a valve body, a valve sleeve and a switch sleeve. The valve sleeve adapted to a transverse retaining hole of the valve body has a sealing ring abutting against a projecting flange of the valve body to seal up the discharge of water, and two arc ends located onto an eccentric arc facet of the switch sleeve via a guide slope for regulating the water discharge. The switch sleeve is rotated to one side to dislocate the sealing ring thereof from the projecting flange thereof via the eccentric arc facet pushing both arc ends thereof to reveal a gap there-between for the discharge of water.

Abstract: An improved lip product applicator for applying a pasty or semi soft lip product to a user's lips comprising a body is described. The body has a product reservoir extending therefrom. The product reservoir is generally hollow and has a tip extending from an end of the reservoir opposite the body. The reservoir has a means for discharging product contained therein through an orifice in said tip. The tip is made of a clear material that permits the user to view the color of the product contained therein. The tip is also tapered and retains its tapered shape as lip product is applied to a user's lips.

Abstract: A makeup pencil is made variable in length by use of rack shafts and a pinion. The pencil has three housings which interact to extend the brush when in use. The brush is projected out of one of the housings through a through-hole. The pencil structure has a flexible piece which seals the inside of the pencil over the through-hole when the pencil is not being used in order to prevent penetration of foreign materials in the air such as powder and dust into the pencil.

Abstract: A direct liquid type writing instrument is used without running-over of ink even in an environment in which an internal pressure is higher than an external pressure. The writing instrument includes an ink reservoir containing ink, a junction core extending on a center axis, and a pen body provided integrally on a tip end side of the junction core. The ink reservoir includes a main ink reservoir, a pen core chamber in which the junction core is disposed, and a sub ink reservoir which is provided between the main ink reservoir and the pen core chamber and communicates with the main ink reservoir via a small hole. Between the sub ink reservoir and the pen core chamber, an opening/closing valve is provided to normally isolate the pen core chamber from the sub ink reservoir and to be operated so that the pen core chamber communicates with the sub ink reservoir when the pen body is operated.

Abstract: A level pen/pencil or other writing instrument is equipped with an end-mounted level vial which mates with the pen/pencil barrel. The housing of the level is entirely clear allowing for the bubble of the level to be visible from all sides of the pen/pencil. The level pen/pencil is designed with sufficient length for reaching from a center of a child's head to a vertical wall surface for marking the child's height thereon. The level pen/pencil can also be used for other applications requiring both a level and a marking means such as construction, repair work, hanging pictures or shelves, or various other leveling and marking tasks.

Abstract: A cleaning apparatus for effectively and efficiently cleaning a broad surface includes a handle member, a pivot structure attached to a distal end of the handle member, a plurality of arms extending from the pivot structure, a center pad attached to the pivot structure, a plurality of outer pads attached to a distal end of the arms, and a plurality of cover members attached to the pads. The center pad is rotatably attached to the pivot structure for allowing rotation during cleaning of a surface. The outer pads are pivotally attached to the arms for conforming to the shape of the surface being cleaned.

Abstract: A liquid dispenser and applicator (10) is provided having a reservoir (302) for holding a liquid such as a liquid foundation and having a bottleneck (308) through which the liquid may be dispensed. An applicator (304) is nestled underneath the reservoir such that the reservoir and applicator are in a vertically stacked relationship, thus permitting a compact arrangement. A detent mechanism is provided for attaching the applicator to the reservoir, the applicator being detachable from the reservoir in order to receive liquid from the spout and permit the applicator to be used to apply the liquid to a surface.
