    Abstract: A method for transmitting a data block begins with segmenting the data block into a number of data sub-blocks. Each data sub-block where a number of high bits is greater than a number of low bits is then inverted. The data sub-blocks are then grouped into sets of data sub-blocks. For each set of data sub blocks, a number of pulses indicative of a number of high bits in each one of the data sub-blocks in the set is transmitted, there is a delay, and a number of pulses indicative of each high bit in each data sub-block of the set of data sub-blocks is transmitted followed by a delay. Finally, a number of pulses indicative of which ones of the data sub-blocks were inverted is transmitted.

    Abstract: The present application provide a reference signal transmitting method, including: notifying a User Equipment (UE) of a grid index and a reference signal port index of the UE, wherein a coverage area of a base station is divided into grids, the grid index of the UE is an index of a grid where the UE is located; generating a reference signal based on the grid index; and transmitting the reference signal on corresponding time-frequency resources based on the grid index and the reference signal port index. The present application further provides a corresponding reference signal transmitting apparatus, and a scheduling method and apparatus. According to the technical solution provided by the present application, it is possible to increase the number of ports that the system can support at the same time with low reference resource overhead, and to ensure that the interference of the reference signal is controllable and eliminable, thereby ensuring transmission reliability.

A base station includes: a PDCCH generation unit which includes the uplink allocation information relating to the uplink unit band only in some of the channel signals formed for each of the downlink unit bands; and a padding unit which adds zero information to the downlink allocation information only in the selected some channel signals having the bandwidth of the corresponding downlink unit band smaller than that of the uplink unit band until the downlink allocation information size becomes equal to the uplink allocation information size.

    Abstract: A preamble of a physical layer (PHY) data unit that conforms to a first communication protocol is generated. The preamble includes a legacy field that is formatted according to a second communication protocol, and a signal field having a first orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol and a second OFDM symbol. The first OFDM symbol (i) immediately follows the legacy field and (ii) is modulated using binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation, whereas a third communication protocol specifies that an OFDM symbol, defined by the third communication protocol, that immediately follows the legacy field is modulated using BPSK modulation rotated by 90 degrees (Q-BPSK). The second OFDM symbol (i) immediately follows the first OFDM symbol and (ii) is modulated using Q-BPSK to indicate to a receiver device that conforms to the first communication protocol that the data unit conforms to the first communication protocol.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to reducing intermodulation distortion (IMD) in a radio frequency (RF) circuit. In examples discussed herein, the RF circuit operates in an uplink carrier aggregation (ULCA) mode to transmit an RF uplink signal simultaneously in a first uplink band and a second transmit band. However, nonlinear components in the RF circuit can create an IMD product(s) that can fall into a downlink band of an RF downlink signal, thus impairing a receive filter's ability to receive the RF downlink signal in the downlink band. The receive filter can be opportunistically reconfigured to form an IMD shunt path to attenuate the IMD product. By reconfiguring the receiver filter to form the IMD shunt path, it is possible to suppress the IMD product in the RF uplink signal, thus leading to an improved desense performance in the ULCA mode without incurring additional cost and/or battery life penalty.
