  • Patent number: 11979224
Abstract: Methods are disclosed which can be performed by a network node for sending to a wireless device a first synchronization signal and an associated information message, for synchronization of the wireless device with the network node. The network node and the wireless device operate in a wireless communications network. The network node sends the first synchronization signal in N OFDM symbols within a subframe, at least once in a time and frequency position in every one of the N OFDM symbols. N is equal or larger than 2. For each sending of the first synchronization signal, the network node sends an associated information message at a pre-defined time and frequency position in an OFDM symbol. The pre-defined time and frequency position is relative to the time and frequency position of the first synchronization signal. The associated information message is associated with the first synchronization signal.

  • Patent number: 11968554
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for dynamically changing a channel state information (CSI) reporting protocol by adjusting CSI reporting frequency for a wireless device communicating with an access node within a wireless network. The methods and systems identify undesirable signal performance parameters at a particular wireless device and adjust the CSI reporting frequency when the undesirable signal performance parameters meet a predetermined threshold. The method changes the CSI reporting frequency for the wireless device to enable more frequent CSI reporting to the access node to facilitate reallocation of resources.

  • Patent number: 11963053
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, via a first subscription of the UE, a trigger event for a conditional handover of the UE from a source network entity to a target network entity. The UE may determine, based at least in part on the trigger event, that a target band associated with the target network entity is not compatible with a serving band associated with a second subscription of the UE. The UE may store the trigger event for the conditional handover in a buffer of the UE. The UE may perform an action related to the conditional handover based at least in part on a condition being satisfied. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Patent number: 11956748
Abstract: A determination is made that a registration attempt by a UE with a cell of a wireless network has failed when the UE is in a current tracking area. The UE updates a first list with indications(s) corresponding to the cell and an indication of the current tracking area, and the UE uses the first list for additional registration attempts. A network node sends, toward the UE, a request for the UE to store information, the storing to be in response to registration attempts by the UE with cells of the wireless network having failed while in corresponding tracking areas. The information is to include indication(s) corresponding to the cells and corresponding indication(s) of the tracking areas for the cells. The network node receives, in response to a successful secure connection having been performed between the wireless network and the UE, the information from the user equipment.

  • Patent number: 11949506
Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a control signal for automatic wireless network version detection of a transmission. The control signal enables a receiver to detect the wireless network version detection of the transmission, so that the proper wireless network version is used for interpreting signaling information and decoding of the payload of the transmission. In some examples, the control signal is within a preamble of the transmission. The wireless network version can be an IEEE 802.11 version, such as proposed IEEE 802.11be. The control signal is compatible with legacy systems and can indicate the legacy signaling information by way of a Legacy Signal (SIG) (L-SIG) symbol. In some examples, the control signal can indicate the wireless network version by using an identifier symbol which is generated from at least part of, but is not identical to, the L-SIG symbol.

  • Patent number: 11924903
Abstract: Systems and methods include a computer-implemented method: A first Safety Instrumented Function (SIF) determines that a process equipment event has occurred or is predicted to occur in a first system. A first action to be performed by the first SIF is identified. In response to determining that the process equipment event has occurred or is predicted to occur, the first action is performed by the first SIF to prevent an occurrence of a first hazardous event. A determination is made by a highly-reliable, self-healing communication transmission network that a second action is to be performed in the second SIF to prevent the occurrence of a second hazardous event. In response, a notification is provided by the transmission network to the second SIF that the second action is to be performed. In response to receiving the notification by the second SIF, the second action is performed by the second SIF.
