  • Patent number: 11587483
Abstract: Disclosed are an image display device and a motion detection method of an image display device. The image display device includes a motion detection unit for detecting a motion of a user and provides a welcome feedback to the user in the form of a visual signal, an audio signal, or both according to whether the motion of the user is detected or not, thereby drawing attention of the user or switching a display state to reduce power consumption of the image display device. The image display device determines a motion exception event that is not regarded a user motion on the basis of an overall change or a local change in pixel value between image frames, thereby preventing the display panel from being activated by a non-human-related factor such as a sudden change in illuminance or a movement of a periodically operating object.

  • Patent number: 11514874
Abstract: A personal computer provides a video signal to dual first and second displays, improvement comprising the second display remote from the computer receiving its video signal by telemetry instead of through video cable. A video signal transmitter connects to the computer through a transmitter cable plugged into a computer display port. The cable from the second display that would otherwise be plugged into the computer video port is instead connected to a video signal receiver. The signal is then transmitted from the computer by the connected transmitter to the receiver connected to the second display. In an alternative embodiment, telemetry between the second display and the computer is achieved through a remote access card, the technology of which is well known in the art. The second display may detachably mount to the back of the first display.

  • Patent number: 11506893
Abstract: Disclosed herein are head-mounted and other display assemblies that utilize organic light emitting diodes as image sources. In the organic light emitting diodes utilized in these display assemblies light is emitted by stimulated emission. As a result of this, the organic light emitting diodes utilized emit light vertically within a narrow cone about axes normal to the planes of the organic light emitting diodes. This narrow cone of emission results in greatly reduced light insertion losses when light transits from the organic light emitting diodes through the display assemblies and as a result increased energy efficiency in the operation of the display assemblies.
