  • Patent number: 10037080
Abstract: Systems and methods for device and content management include determining a user is viewing virtual reality content from a user device. Body information associated with the user while the user is viewing the virtual reality content is received through a network from the user device. User engagement information associated with the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is determined using the body information. A first content management action based on the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is generated using the user engagement information. A first notification associated with the first content management action that causes a first change to the virtual reality content being viewed by the user is sent through the network to the user device.

  • Patent number: 10008019
Abstract: One embodiment of the invention disclosed herein provides techniques for processing an evaluation graph associated with a three-dimensional animation scene. An evaluation management system retrieves a first plurality of nodes from a memory. The evaluation management system determines that a first node included in the first plurality of nodes depends on a first output generated by a second node that also is included in the first plurality of nodes. The evaluation management system generates a third node corresponding to the first node and a fourth node corresponding to the second node. The evaluation management system generates an evaluation graph that includes the third node, the fourth node, and an indication that the third node depends on the fourth node. The evaluation management system schedules the third node for evaluation after the fourth node has been evaluated.

  • Patent number: 9990775
Abstract: An exemplary interactive media content provider system generates overall data representative of interactive media content. The exemplary interactive media content provider system concurrently provides the overall data to both a first media player device associated with a first user and a second media player device associated with a second user by way of a point-to-multipoint media delivery protocol. The first media player device and the second media player device may each be configured to render different portions of the overall data to respective display screens of the media player devices at a particular point in time based on different user input from the first user and the second user, respectively, as the first user and the second user independently interact with the interactive media content. • Patent number: 9961660
Abstract: A network access node (eNodeB for example) changing status from active to deactivated sends a message to a location server indicating the changed status. The location server collects from uplink messages indications of which of a plurality of cells have a deactivated status and stores this information in its local memory. Then the location server utilizes the stored indications to ensure that all cells in a list provided to a user equipment for location assistance will have an active status. In various embodiments: the message is sent only when the status is changed for energy saving purposes; a list of cells included in a location request message may have some deactivated cells so the location server sends a message to the eNodeB to activate deactivated cells in the list which is done prior to providing the list to a user equipment; and a partial-activation for a probing/beacon mode is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9948437
Abstract: A method of performing interference management by a base station (BS) in a wireless communication system. The BS receives, from another BS, an interference management message including a silenced subframe pattern of the another BS. The BS transmits, to a user equipment (UE), a radio resource configuration (RRC) message including subframe set information for interference measurement, and receives, from the UE, channel state information (CSI) feedback including a result of the interference measurement. The subframe set information is configured based on the silenced subframe pattern of the another BS, and the subframe set information restricts the interference measurement of the UE to specific subframes.

  • Patent number: 9933855
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and/or methods to augment reality. An object identifier may identify an object in a field of view of a user that includes a reflection of the user from a reflective surface, such as a surface of a traditional mirror. In addition, a reality augmenter may generate an augmented reality object based on the identification of the object. In one example, eyeglasses including a relatively transparent display screen may be coupled with an image capture device on the user and the augmented reality object may be observable by the user on the transparent display screen when the user wears the eyeglasses. A localizer may position the augmented reality object on the transparent display screen relative to the reflection of the user that passes though the transparent display screen during natural visual perception of the reflection by the user.

  • Patent number: 9898078
Abstract: An information handling system (IHS) controls a display for an immersive experience based upon a gazing view of a user. A processor communicates with the display and a gaze detector to detect a relative location of a user to the display. A graphic processing unit (GPU) allocates a field of view on the display based upon the relative location, centers display content in the field of view on the display, and accesses color point control data in response to the allocated field of view. The GPU manages color and brightness of display components of the display according to the accessed color point control data to compensate for variations of color and brightness in a viewing angle of the field of view.
