  • Patent number: 10402817
Abstract: A device may receive an authorization request, associated with a transaction made by a user device as part of a checkout procedure of a website, that includes a virtual transaction card identifier of a virtual transaction card that is being used for the transaction, and a first merchant identifier for a merchant associated with the website. The device may perform a first authorization procedure to determine whether the first merchant identifier, included in the authorization request, satisfies a threshold level of similarity with a second merchant identifier associated with a request to generate the virtual transaction card that occurred prior to receiving the authorization request. The device may determine whether to forego a second authorization procedure based on a result of the first authorization procedure, and cause an authorization response, that includes an indication of whether the transaction is approved, to be provided to another device associated with the merchant.

  • Patent number: 10346823
Abstract: Methods and systems for activating an electronic payments infrastructure employ, for example, a token consisting at least in part of a unique identifier assigned to an inactive header account which is provided on a customer's electronic device. The unique identifier is processable via a transaction processing network. A request, which includes customer information, is received to verify that activation of the header account for the customer is compliant with predefined customer identification rules. A determination is made that activation of the header account for the customer is compliant with the predefined customer identification rules. An activation message is sent to the customer's device using the interface processor, the header account is linked to a digital wallet on a database, and the customer's designation of a source account for the digital wallet is received on the database. The header account can be used in transactions with either on-us or off-us source accounts.

  • Patent number: 10348805
Abstract: Systems, methods and computer programs for transferring data in a communication system are described. The communication system has a first node arranged to send data to a plurality of second nodes using a first protocol. The first protocol allows the transfer of data of a first type. At least one of the second nodes additionally requires data of a second type, which is not included in the data sent according to the first protocol. First data, of the first type, is transferred to a plurality of the second nodes using the first protocol. Second data, of the second type, is stored in a memory. Subsequently, in response to a request, access to the second data is provided to the second node.
