Abstract: An art investment estimation system is provided that is updated to include a first sale price and date, and a second sale price and date of a plurality of repeat sale pairs of a plurality of works of art associated with an artist. The system determines one or more investment value variables derived from the first sale price and associated first sale date and the second sale price and associated second sale date for the plurality of repeat sale pairs of the plurality of works of art. The system receives, at a graphical user interface (GUI), input from a user designating weights for the investment value variables for an artist. The system determines, from the designated weights and the investment value variables, an artist investment potential value for the artist and, at the GUI, displays to the user the artist investment potential value.

  • Patent number: 11195158
Abstract: For communicating payments, a mobile device reads a point-of-sale code from a point-of-sale device. The mobile device uploads the point-of-sale code to the clearing house. The clearing house downloads a purchase menu to the mobile device. The clearing house generates a payment authorization comprising an authorization code and a transaction amount. The clearing house determine whether the point-of-sale device is in communication with the clearing house. In response to the point-of-sale device being in communication with the clearing house, the clearing house communicates the payment authorization to the point-of-sale device at a device address determined from the point-of-sale code. In response to the point-of-sale device not being in communication with the clearing house, the clearing house communicates the payment authorization through the mobile device to the point-of-sale device. The point-of-sale device completes a transaction for the transaction amount at the point-of-sale device.

  • Patent number: 11138671
Abstract: Proposed is an adaptive, layered, automated risk-transfer system and method thereof, with a self-optimizing, increased leveraged capacity and enhanced drop-down cover structure with a plurality of adjustable risk-transfer layers. If a triggered risk-event is assignable to either of the top risk-transfer layer or the bottom risk-transfer layer of the drop-down cover structure, a shared exhaustion factor is generated based on the assigned risk-transfer layer and based on a cover of the loss associated with the triggered risk event. The shared exhaustion factor is applied mutually to both layers by the system eroding both layers by the same exhaustion factor. The top layer and the bottom layer are reinstatable by a corresponding generated normalized reinstatement parameter values normalized over both layers and based on a thus provided shared limit and the erosion of the top layer and the bottom layer.

  • Patent number: 11132750
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to utilizing an objective impairment injury score risk model. A computing device may receive injury data from a user. The computing device may then perform a security action that protects against unauthorized sharing of the injury data by storing the injury data as a group of linked blocks in a distributed computing system. The computing device may then utilize a machine-learning model to generate a set of questions for the user. The questions may be utilized to determine weighting factors associated with the injury data. The computing device may then utilize the machine-learning model to determine an impairment injury score based on the weighting factors. The may include an objectively determined value associated with a degree of impairment resulting from an injury described in the injury data. Finally, the computing device may display an injury risk management report, based on the score, to the user.

  • Patent number: 11068998
Abstract: A system including a computing device may receive base map information, including attribute information associated with a plurality of road segments, and trip request information. Based on this information, a route for the user to travel may be determined. The system might further calculate a risk score for each road segment forming the route, and generate a risk map based on the risk score and the route. The risk map may then be displayed to a user. The risk map may include markers or other objects depicting potential risks along the route the driver may face. Also, the risk map may be updated based on information collected from a sensor coupled to the vehicle or located at the road segment to reflect actual, real-time risk scores calculated using an equation for providing a risk score for a particular driver driving a particular vehicle on a particular road segment.

  • Patent number: 11002540
Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) may facilitate the generation of a virtual reconstruction model of a vehicle collision. UAVs may collect data (including images) related to the vehicle collision, such as with the insured's permission, which may be received by an external computing device associated with the insurer and utilized to perform a photogrammetric analysis of the images to determine vehicle impact points, the road layout at the scene of the collision, the speeds and directions of vehicles, etc. This data may be used to generate a virtual reconstruction model of the vehicle collision. An insurer may use the virtual reconstruction model to perform various insurance-related tasks, such as allocating fault to drivers or autonomous vehicles involved in the vehicle collision, and adjustment of insurance pricing based upon the fault allocation. As a result, innocent drivers or vehicles may not be unfairly penalized for vehicle collisions not their fault.

  • Patent number: 10977639
Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein relate to reducing the losses associated with processing payments using credit card payment processing gateways. Payment processing gateways have different deposit success rates due to the gateways' varying arrangements with acquiring banks and the ability to process certain types of payments. A payment request related to a user may be received, wherein the request specifies a particular type of credit card, a transaction currency, and an amount. A payment application then routes, via a payment agent, the payment request to an adaptive gateway switching system (AGSS) in an attempt to complete a payment transaction. If in learning mode, the AGSS may randomly choose a payment processing gateway. Or the AGSS may choose the gateway based upon a learned gateway status based upon results learned through reinforcement learning. Upon receiving the result of a transaction attempt from the gateway, the agent reports the result to the AGSS.
