Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a technique for increasing the biodegradation rate of the biodegradable resin molded body in nature by promoting degradation of a biodegradable resin molded body containing an oxidative degradation agent. The degradation rate of the biodegradable resin molded body containing an oxidative degradation agent can be significantly increased by allowing both the biodegradable resin molded body and a chloride salt to be present at the time of disposal of the resin molded body.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a heat-resistant polyamide composition and application thereof. The composition comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 40% to 90% of heat-resistant polyamide resin, 5% to 35% of mineral fiber A, 0 to 35% of mineral filler B, 0.1% to 1% of light stabilizer, 0.1% to 1% of flow modifier and 0.1% to 1% of antioxidant. In the present invention, heat-resistant polyamide resin with the ratio of amine-terminated group and carboxyl-terminated group between 0.1 and 0.8 is selected to be matched with deformed glass fibers with an aspect ratio of 2 to 6, the mineral filler B and the flow modifier to obtain the heat-resistant polyamide composition.

Abstract: A colorless thermoplastic polyester resin composition that can form a molded article with good appearance is provided. More specifically, a thermoplastic polyester resin composition is provided, which has (A) polybutylene terephthalate resin, (B) polyethylene terephthlatae resin, (C) nigrosine dye, and (D) glass fibers. The blending amounts are (A) in the range of 55-86 wt. % and (B) in the range of 14-45 wt. % based on 100 wt. % of a total of (A) and (B). Further, (C) is in the range of 0.1-1.5 parts by weight based on 100 parts of a total of (A) and (B). Preferably, the carboxy terminal groups of (A) is at 25 (eq/t), the intrinsic viscosity of (A) is in the range of 0.60-0.90, and the melting point of (C) is less than 300° C.

Abstract: A composition for making polymeric fiber membranes, for use in non-cryogenic separation of gases, substantially improves product flow, with only a small decrease in the recovery ratio. The composition is a spin dope including tetrabromo bis-phenol A polycarbonate (TBBA-PC) and tetrabromo bishydroxyphenylfluorene polycarbonate (TBBHPF-PC), in proportions, by weight, ranging (in percent) from about 60/40 to 40/60, and n-methyl pyrrolidinone (NMP) and triethylene glycol (TEG), wherein the ratio of the amounts of NMP to TEG, by weight, is in the range of about 1.6-2.5. The spin dope is used to make hollow fibers for use in gas-separation membrane modules.

Abstract: The present invention relates to biodegradable polymers, and especially polyacrylic and/or polyaspartic acid based biodegradable polymers. Further, the present invention relates to methods for the preparation of the present biodegradable polymers and the use thereof as, for example, protective layer or packaging material. Specifically, the present invention relates to methods for preparing a biodegradable polymer comprising: a) preparing an acidic mixture of polyacrylic and/or polyaspartic acid, sodium ions, one or more oligosaccharides, or derivatives thereof, and water, wherein the resulting mixture has a pH equal to or lower than 5; b) maintaining the temperature of said acidic mixture in a range of from 80° C. to 130° C. until an homogeneous suspension is obtained; and c) adding polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and one or more polycarboxylic acids, or derivatives thereof, to the mixture of step (b) while maintaining the temperature in a range of from 80° C. to 130° C. until the biodegradable polymer is formed.
