  • Patent number: 11822881
Abstract: Disclosed is a platform that manages worker users in a temporary staffing environment via an artificial machine learning model. The temporary staffing platform matches available workers to available shifts/gigs. Additional features include generating provisional or near-miss matches and informing workers how to turn those near-misses into full matches, plotting a gig-career path to develop additional skills, gamify development, and automatically generate resumes. The platform generates a set of skill tags associated with each shift/gig performed by the user. Designing of resume text files by the artificial machine learning model includes procedurally generated descriptions of experience the a user has based on the recording of each shift/gig performed by the user and the skill tags associated with each recorded shift/gig, wherein a format of the resume text file is formulated by the artificial machine learning model evaluating a mix of skill tags and employers amassed by the user.

  • Patent number: 11822880
Abstract: Machine learning, artificial intelligence, and other computer-implemented methods are used to identify various semantically important chunks in documents, automatically label them with appropriate datatypes and semantic roles, and use this enhanced information to assist authors and to support downstream processes. Chunk locations, datatypes, and semantic roles can often be automatically determined from what is here called “context”, to wit, the combination of their formatting, structure, and content; those of adjacent or nearby content; overall patterns of occurrence in a document, and similarities of all these things across documents (mainly but not exclusively among documents in the same document set).

  • Patent number: 11782576
Abstract: In some embodiments, a data visualization system detects insights from a dataset and computes insight scores for respective insights. The data visualization system further computes insight type scores, from the insight scores, for insight types in the detected insights. The data visualization system determines a selected insight type for the dataset having a higher insight type score than unselected insight types and determines, for the selected insight type, a set of selected insights that have higher insight scores than unselected insights. The data visualization system determines insight visualizations for the set of selected insights and generates, for inclusion in a user interface of the data visualization system, selectable interface elements configured for invoking an editing tool for updating the determined insight visualizations from the dataset. The selectable interface elements are arranged in the user interface according to the insight scores of the set of selected insights.

  • Patent number: 11763065
Abstract: This disclosure involves selecting and applying font features to improve the layout of text. For example, a computing system receives initial text. The computing system calculates an improvement metric representing a layout improvement of a font feature applied to the initial text. The font feature includes replacing a first glyph with a second glyph. The font feature, when applied to the initial text, may result in a layout improvement, which can be quantified using the improvement metric. Based on the calculated improvement metric, the computing system applies the font feature to the initial text to generate updated text. The computing system generates, for display on a display device, the updated text.

  • Patent number: 11755817
Abstract: In implementations of systems for generating snap guides relative to glyphs of editable text rendered in a user interface using a font, a computing device implements a snap guide system to receive input data describing a position of a cursor relative to the glyphs of the editable text in the user interface. The glyphs of the editable text are enclosed within a bounding box having a height that is less than a height of an em-box of the font. The snap guide system generates a first group of snap guides for the glyphs of the editable text which includes a snap guide for each side of the bounding box and a snap guide for an x-height of the font. The snap guide system generates an indication of a particular snap guide of the first group of snap guides for display in the user interface based on the position of the cursor.

  • Patent number: 11755997
Abstract: Methods and systems for compact presentation of automatically summarized information according to rule-based graphically represented information. One of the methods includes obtaining, via a user accessible user interface, a request for uploaded textual information to be analyzed. Ontology information is accessed based on an indicated type associated with the textual information, and ontology information for the type. The ontology information specifies nodes, with the nodes causing the server system to extract values for textual expressions defined by the nodes, and relational information between the nodes, with the relational information indicating links between textual expressions. The textual information is parsed based on the ontology information. The parsing causes traversal of the nodes and extraction of values from associated textual expressions based on the textual information. Values are obtained based on the parsing, with the values being utilized as summary information.

  • Patent number: 11720230
Abstract: A device displays a chart representing data from a dataset. The chart has a first region displaying labels corresponding to data values of a first data field, a second region displaying labels corresponding to data values of a second data field, and a third region displaying visual marks representing aggregated data corresponding to pairs of data values from the first and second data fields. In response to a user input, the device removes visual marks from the chart. When the input location is the first region, the device removes visual marks in the first chart corresponding to a first data value of the first data field. When the input location is the second region, the device removes visual marks corresponding to a second data value of the second data field. Otherwise, the device removes only one visual mark. This updates the displayed chart.

A request for a first target value in a data array may be received, wherein the request comprises first reference value. The data array may comprise a plurality of values and a plurality of value types included in one or more tables in a computer-implemented spreadsheet application. An index comprising a plurality of sorted reference numbers corresponding to a plurality of values in the data array may be generated based on the request. The index may be searched, and based at least on the search, the first reference value may be identified. In additional examples, the index may be cached and utilized to process additional target value requests that reference an overlapping range value with the first request.
