The method can further include transmitting the streaming video of the item to a client portal, receiving an order request from the client, processing the order request, updating an inventory based on the processed order request, and ceasing transmission of the streaming video to the portal based on the processed order. The method and system provide a simple, automated, and reliable method for a buyer to purchase live items from a merchant wherein the buyer can see exactly the item he or she is purchasing, including the physical condition, configuration, size, health, and overall well-being of the item.
