Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable a universal router within a vehicle. The universal router includes a reception pipeline that ingests layer 2/layer 3 (L2/L3) communications associated with each L2/L3 communication protocol, extracts communication data from the L2/L3 communications and generates a Layer 4 and/or Layer 5 (L4/L5) data unit for each L2/L3 communication based on the communication data. A processor ingests the L4/L5 data units and generates transformed L4/L5 data units based on predefined rules. A router determines a destination interface associated with each transformed L4/L5 data unit based on the communication data and routes each transformed LA/L5 data unit to a transmission pipeline associated with each destination interface.

  • Patent number: 12218863
Abstract: A network device includes a processor, and receiver circuitry receiving a signal from a plurality of terminal devices, over a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format 1 (FMT1). The processor is coupled to the receiver circuitry, and performs processing on the received signal to obtain decoded data and signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) corresponding to the plurality of terminal devices, and utilizes the decoded data and the SNRs for handling further communications with the plurality of terminal devices. In the processing, the processor obtains, from the received signal, a time domain sequence by performing a transform from a frequency domain into a time domain. The processor extracts, from the time domain sequence, noise blocks and one or more data blocks corresponding to each terminal device among the plurality of terminal devices. The processor further estimates a current noise power value based on the extracted noise blocks and a previous noise power value.

  • Patent number: 12184367
Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for adapting a beamforming mode based on channel state information. The methods, media, and systems receive, at a base station associated with an antenna array, the channel state information from one or more devices. Based on the channel state information, the methods, media, and systems determine whether an uplink signal measurement is above a first threshold and whether a downlink signal measurement is above a second threshold. Based on whether the uplink signal measurement is above the first threshold and whether the downlink signal measurement is above the second threshold, the methods, media, and systems instruct one or more antenna elements corresponding to the antenna array to schedule wireless transmissions utilizing closed-loop beamforming or open-loop beamforming.

  • Patent number: 12185162
Abstract: Systems and methods for compression and decompression between elements of a wireless communications system (WCS) such as a distributed antenna system (DAS) contemplate performing a fast Fourier transform (FFT) operation before compression and transmission across a transport medium in a DAS. Further, a size of an FFT block may be varied based on latency requirements. For example, the FFT block size may be based on a sampling rate extracted from channel information. By selecting the FFT block size to meet latency requirements, overall throughput across the transport medium may be increased.

  • Patent number: 12177716
Abstract: A method and system for improving responsiveness in exchanging management and control frames in a wireless local area network are disclosed. An initiator sends a frame (action frame, management frame, CSI frame, control frame, or data frame) to a responder. Upon correctly receiving the frame, the responder sends a response frame to the initiator instead of directly sending an acknowledgement (ACK) packet. The responder preferably accesses the wireless medium to send the response frame in a short inter-frame spacing (SIFS). With this scheme, a long delay associated with having to contend for the wireless medium to send the response frame is avoided and therefore, the responsiveness and timeliness of the feedback mechanism is significantly enhanced. The response frame may be piggybacked on or aggregated with another packet.
