Abstract: A target turner and associated components and methods. The target turner is configured to hold a target to be shot by a shooter. The target turner is configured to hold the target in a shooting orientation for being shot by the shooter and in a non-shooting orientation for hiding a face of the target from the user. A turning assembly of the target turner includes a crank wheel and two turning wheels. The crank wheel drives the first turning wheel for turning the target toward the non-shooting orientation and drives the second turning wheel for turning the target toward the shooting orientation. A target support of the target turner is configured to disconnect from the turning assembly to avoid damage to the turning assembly if outside force is applied to the target support.

Abstract: Systems and apparatus for receiving golf balls include an apparatus including: a body having an ingress and an egress for golf balls passing through the body, wherein each of the golf balls includes a radio frequency identification tag; at least one antenna of a radio frequency identification reader, the at least one antenna arranged with respect to the body to receive information from the golf balls for identification of the golf balls; and multiple protrusions located within the body, the multiple protrusions being positioned with respect to each other in a Galton configuration that both (i) impedes the golf balls from passing through the body without being read by the radio frequency identification reader, and (ii) allows the golf balls to pass through the body without jamming therein.

Abstract: A modular game assembly includes a central platform and a plurality of peripheral boards removably attached to the central platform to facilitate a tossing game between two or more players. The central platform is supported upon a support surface such that a planar surface thereof is elevated with respect to the support surface. Each peripheral board includes a front edge that is raised and supported by the central platform such that each peripheral board is downwardly inclined. Each peripheral board is in an abutting arrangement with adjacent peripheral boards.

Abstract: A dartboard structure and a method for manufacturing the dartboard structure are provided. The dartboard structure includes a dartboard body unit, a dartboard frame unit, a first sensor unit and a second sensor unit. The dartboard body unit has a plurality of score regions. The dartboard frame unit has a plurality of through openings that penetrate through the dartboard frame unit, and each of the through openings corresponds to one of the score regions. The second sensor unit and the first sensor unit are in an intersecting arrangement and have a predetermined gap therebetween. The first sensor unit and the second sensor unit surround a plurality of first sensing regions, and each of the first sensing regions corresponds to one of the score regions and one of the through openings.

Abstract: A goal for foot golf. The goal includes a suspension platform that is configured for suspension above the ground and a plurality of fingers that extend downwards from the suspension platform. The suspension platform can be hung from a structure or supported from below by a stand. The plurality of fingers includes a plurality of outer fingers that are disposed about the suspension platform in a circular arrangement that substantially matches the size and shape of a regulation foot golf hole.

Abstract: A dart catching device for catching darts that fail to adhere to a dartboard includes a tray, which is mountable to a vertical surface upon which a dartboard is positioned. The tray is mounted below the dartboard and extends substantially perpendicularly from the vertical surface. The tray can catch a dart that is thrown at the dartboard, but which fails to adhere to the dartboard. The device can prevent damage to the dart that might occur should the dart drop to a horizontal surface beneath the dartboard.

Abstract: A ball bat, extending along a longitudinal axis. The bat includes a barrel portion, an end cap and a handle portion. The barrel portion is formed of a fiber composite material and includes a proximal region having a continuous single wall construction, a central region and a distal region. The central region includes at least first and second central region walls longitudinally extending from the proximal region, and a distal region includes first and second distal region walls longitudinally extending from the central region. The central region walls and the distal region walls form a first inner barrel wall and an outer barrel wall, respectively. The barrel walls are spaced apart by a first separation. The first separation is unfilled and longitudinally extends over the central region and the first distal region wall. The end cap and the handle portion are coupled to the distal and proximal region, respectively.

Abstract: A consumer apparatus that golfers of any level may use to practice their putting stroke mainly in an indoor environment. The putting practice device requires the user to propel the golf ball on top of a set of parallel rails up a slope and into one of different cup holes. Each hole has a door which may be opened and/or closed. The doors also have rails that let the golf ball continue up the slope to the hole of the user's choice. This lets the user practice hitting different lengths of putts in a short space.

Abstract: A cornhole training device for simulating practice scenarios involving a blocking bag positional a cornhole game board. The cornhole training device integrates a suction component and a stabilizing plate with a cornhole bag. The stabilizing plate is retained within a pocket attached to an inside of the cornhole bag with the suction component extending through the pocket, the stabilizing plate, and the cornhole bag. The suction component attaches to and engages the cornhole gameboard surface. Alternatively, the device is configured to attach the suction component, the stabilizing plate, and the pocket to an existing cornhole bag. The cornhole training device is positional anywhere on the gameboard to simulate a cornhole bag obstructing the aperture.

Abstract: A method of stabilizing a cornhole board on a support surface, comprising providing a cornhole board including an inclined board have a front, a rear, and a top with a target hole, one or more rear supports that support the rear of the inclined board at a height above the front of the board, and one or front supports that support the front of the inclined board; providing one or more stabilizing units for the one or more front supports that support the front of the inclined board and the one or more rear supports that support the rear of the inclined board, wherein the one or more one or more stabilizing units include one or more adhesion members that adhere to and stabilize the cornhole board relative to the support surface.

Abstract: The target device provides a strike detector attached to an adjustable neck for adjusting the position of the strike detector behind a target. A housing is mounted at a desired location and height. A retention body secures a target to the housing. The target may be a paper target or other target. The retention body can secure different targets to vary the shooter's practice and to change the look that each shooter experiences. The adjustable strike detector allows placement of the strike detector in different positions behind the target to define a customizable strike zone. Upon hitting the strike detector at least once, the target device takes an action to indicate that the strike detector has been hit, such as the retention body releasing the target. The target then falls from the housing. Such releasing of the target notifies the user that the user has struck the strike zone and the strike detector the desired number of times to neutralize the target.

Abstract: A modular target structure is disclosed for supporting targets during target practice. An example modular target structure includes a first leg structure, a second leg structure, and an interconnecting member. The interconnecting member connects between the first leg structure and the second leg structure to form a substantially triangular shaped support structure which can be utilized in a horizontal or vertical configuration. At least one target mount may be provided for attaching targets. The support structure is readily assembled and unassembled and can be configured between an operating position for target practice, and a collapsed position for transport and storage.

Abstract: A method of selecting a golf club head for a specific user, includes: (a) receiving first data comprising impact location of each of a plurality of golf swings taken by the user using a test golf club; (b) generating an impact probability map specific to the user; (c) providing second data comprising correlations between striking face location and coefficient of restitution (COR) for each of a plurality of golf clubs; (d) calculating a user-specific expected COR value for each of the plurality of golf clubs based on the first data, the impact probability map, and the second data for each of the plurality of golf clubs; and (e) outputting and displaying golf club preference information based on the calculated user-specific expected COR.

Abstract: A method of enhancing surface strike performance, includes providing a club head having a face surface and a receiving portion recessed into the club face. The receiving portion is configured to receive a strike surface material. The surface strike material is an amorphous ceramic material which is inserted as an inlay into the receiving portion as a liquid slurry. The slurry is distributed evenly within said receiving portion forming a uniform layer of ceramic material filling said receiving portion. Microgrooves are added to the ceramic material in a vertical direction to further increase the strike performance of the club head.

Abstract: A golf putting stroke practicing device includes a box-like housing designed to lie on any appropriate surface such as a carpeted floor wherein the front and bottom panels of the housing are provided with semi-circular/half-round cutouts that together create the realistic illusion of a regulation golf hole. The front of the housing is configured to deflect errant shots away from the hole opening. The device is easily carried and stored and can hold a number of regulation balls when not in use.

Abstract: A basketball return chute assembly includes a chute and a backboard attachment device. The chute is adapted to receive a ball from a basketball basket assembly attached to a backboard and direct the received ball back to a game player. The backboard attachment device is connected to the chute and is adapted to attach to the backboard, to place the chute beneath the basket assembly, and to cause the chute to direct the received ball in a direction away from the backboard. The backboard attachment device is connected to the chute via a hinge. The chute includes a slide with a knuckle at one end and the backboard attachment device includes a plate with another knuckle at one end. The slide is one leaf of the hinge, and the plate is the other leaf of the hinge. The hinge is held together using a pin inserted through the knuckles.

Abstract: A ball game apparatus in which movements of a coded ball (20) are detected by detector units (100, 206) and an automatic indication of a player's score is given, where data relating to the ball (20) are stored in a database connected to the detector units (100, 206), the data including the code of a ball (20) and a code relating to a player to whom the ball (20) has been allocated, the ball (20) being configured to temporarily store, and to intermittently transfer to the detector units (100, 206) and thence to the database, data relating to the ball's movements. A rechargeable battery (40) is contained within the ball (20), and is arranged to be charged by a battery charging system. Features of the game may be controlled by means of a player's mobile telephone.
