  • Patent number: 11962583
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a device sends, to an access point device, a network access authentication request issued with respect to a first network. An authentication server device includes a first device-authentication processing unit that, in response to the network access authentication request, performs an authentication operation based on first-type authentication information. The access point device includes a transfer processing unit and a second device-authentication processing unit. • Patent number: 11948054
Abstract: A system and method for transferring an adversarial attack involving generating a surrogate model having an architecture and a dataset that mirrors at least one aspect of a target model of a target module, wherein the surrogate model includes a plurality of classes. The method involves generating a masked version of the surrogate model having fewer classes than the surrogate model by randomly selecting at least one class of the plurality of classes for removal. The method involves attacking the masked surrogate model to create a perturbed sample. The method involves generalizing the perturbed sample for use with the target module. The method involves transferring the perturbed sample to the target module to alter an operating parameter of the target model.

  • Patent number: 11924175
Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to intelligently classifying Web trackers in a privacy preserving manner and mitigating the effects of such Web trackers. As users browse the Web and encounter various Web sites, tracker-related metrics are determined. The metrics are obfuscated to protect the privacy of the user. The obfuscated metrics are provided as inputs to a machine learning model, which is configured to output a classification for the Web trackers associated with the Web sites visited by the user. Depending on the classification, the effects of the Web trackers are mitigated by placing restrictions on the Web trackers. The restrictions for a particular Web tracker may be relaxed based on a level of user engagement a user has with respect to the tracker's associated Web site. By doing so, the compatibility risks associated with tracking prevention are mitigated for Web sites that are relatively important to the user.

  • Patent number: 11902119
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for routing event data from cloud-based sources to various service providers without using a permanently dedicated server (or similar solution). The solution disclosed herein is source agnostic, meaning that the data being received can be from any provider of cloud-based data, with the data received being in a format specific to the given provider. The system can normalize the data from the respective sources into a common format based on properties on the data and, based on the normalized data, identify what type of analysis, process, or other service should be executed on data received. The system can then forward the data to respective service providers for the execution of those services.

  • Patent number: 11902371
Abstract: A specialized network (“merchant”) node to facilitate fast distribution of blockchain transactions over a network of interconnected nodes, as subset of which are merchant nodes interconnected by an overlay network. The merchant node includes a memory storing an assigned portion of a distributed mempool structured as a distributed hash table, the distributed mempool containing pending transactions awaiting confirmation. The merchant node operates by receiving a transaction, including a transaction identifier; hashing the new transaction identifier to obtain a key; determining, using the key, whether the transaction is stored in the distributed mempool or not and, if not, then storing the transaction in the distributed mempool as a pending transaction; and sending the transaction to a set of nodes other than merchant nodes using peer-to-peer connections. The invention may be used in conjunction with the Bitcoin blockchain or an alternative.

  • Patent number: 11888701
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for improving self-healing and resiliency of radio-based networks through the use of a community model. In one embodiment, a community model graph representing a radio-based network is generated. Individual nodes of the community model graph correspond to one or more network functions of the radio-based network. Individual edges of the community model graph correspond to a respective network connection between the network function(s) of the radio-based network. The individual edges are assigned a respective measure of relative importance. An adverse health event is detected that impacts a plurality of network connections between network functions in the radio-based network. Self-healing activities for the network connections are prioritized based at least in part on the respective measures of relative importance corresponding to individual network connections.

  • Patent number: 11863619
Abstract: Prior to initiating discovery of computing resources of an information technology (IT) infrastructure, an input query and a discovery job are received, and one or more trigger configuration items (CIs) are calculated. The input query specifies how the computing resources are discovered, and has a filter parameter. The discovery job is for the input query, has a job parameter, and is associated with a trigger query that is a subset of the input query. The trigger CIs are calculated based on the trigger query, such that the filter parameter of the input query is replaced with the job parameter in the trigger CIs. Discovery of the computing resources is initiated by dispatching each trigger CI. As discovery of the computing resources occurs, CIs representing the computing resources matching the trigger CIs are received, and the CIs are populated within a configuration management database (CMDB).

  • Patent number: 11861377
Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques and solutions for enhancing or customizing the functionality of software applications, such as “apps.” More particularly, the present disclosure provides for grouping app extensions into groups, such as groups representing a particular semantic domain. A group of extensions can be applied to one or more apps. Applying extensions as a group can save development time and effort, as can the ability to apply a given extension group to multiple apps, either at the same time or over a particular time period. Further disclosed aspects assist users in implementing extensions with an extension group, such as assisting in determining where in a user interface particular extensions should appear. Once an extension group has been selected to be applied to an app, programmatic logic can cause the extensions to be automatically implemented in a computing artifact/object used by a particular extended app.

  • Patent number: 11848904
Abstract: Modifying direct message (DM) communication membership is described. A communication platform can receive, in association with a DM communication and from a user computing device of a user of a first group of users, a first request to modify the first group of users. The communication platform can send a second request to designate whether to include context data associated with the DM communication in a new or existing DM communication. Based on receiving an indication to include at least a portion of the context data associated with the DM communication in the new or existing DM communication, the communication platform can generate the new DM communication, wherein the new DM communication is associated with a second group of users different than the first group of users, and at least the portion of the context data is associated with the new DM communication.

  • Patent number: 11836749
Abstract: Users may engage in a target user activity via digital systems, such as a website, and/or non-digital systems. Users may user various digital channels to arrive at the digital systems or non-digital systems. Users may also arrive at digital systems, such as the website, via different entry pages. A propensity analyzer can, based on activity data associated with users, determine propensities of one or more of the digital channels, digital systems, non-digital channels, and/or entry pages to drive users to perform a target user activity. The propensity analyzer can generate recommendations for revising digital channels, digital systems, non-digital channels, and/or entry pages to increase their propensities to drive users to perform the target user activity.

  • Patent number: 11824928
Abstract: A media server machine may be configured to provide media content within a datastream. This datastream may be provided to a media device that is configured to present the media content on a display. Also, this datastream may contemporaneously contain an “app-sync indicator” for the media content. The app-sync indicator is a data structure that signals the media device to launch an application on a companion device. By providing the app-sync indicator contemporaneously with the media content in the datastream, the launching of the application on the companion device may be synchronized with the media content. The app-sync indicator may specify the application to be launched. Also, the app-sync indicator may specify supplemental content to be presented by the launched application on the companion device.

  • Patent number: 11811849
Abstract: A system designed for increasing network communication speed for users, while lowering network congestion for content owners and ISPs. The system employs network elements including an acceleration server, clients, agents, and peers, where communication requests generated by applications are intercepted by the client on the same machine. The IP address of the server in the communication request is transmitted to the acceleration server, which provides a list of agents to use for this IP address. The communication request is sent to the agents. One or more of the agents respond with a list of peers that have previously seen some or all of the content which is the response to this request (after checking whether this data is still valid).
