Abstract: A printing system includes a printing apparatus and a server system to receive a processing result of processing performed by the printing apparatus. The printing apparatus notifies the server system of the processing result, which includes a plurality of types of counts that indicate the number of prints generated by execution of print processing in the printing apparatus and that concurrently count up under predetermined conditions, and the server system provides a service based on the plurality of types of counts included in the processing result. In addition, the processing unit provides the service based on counts which are a combination of at least two types of counts from among the plurality of types of counts, and the combination of the types of counts is set in advance in association with the service.

Abstract: Provided is an industrial printing system that performs peer-to-peer distributed processing according to paper settings and imposition settings for production printing. A plurality of print servers performs distributed processing of a job. Each print server includes a storage unit, a job changing unit, and a processing management unit. The storage unit stores resource information related to paper setting and imposition setting of the plurality of print servers. The job changing unit changes the job suitable to other print server selected from the plurality of print servers based on the resource information stored in the storage unit. The processing management unit transmits the job changed by the job changing unit to the other print server and requests processing.
Abstract: A cloud printing method includes in response to a click on a file in an application program of a client terminal to execute printing, receiving, by a cloud server, a print request sent by the client terminal, generating, by the cloud server, a print job and a uniform resource locator (URL) of the print job based on the print request, and starting, by the cloud server, a print microservice and publishing a print task to a message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) microservice according to the print job. After a printer is connected to the cloud server, the printer is configured to send a print subscription request to the cloud server. The MQTT microservice is configured to send the print task with the URL of the print job to the printer. The printer is further configured to download the print job from the cloud server based on the URL of the print job and print the print job.

Abstract: Techniques are described for auditing print content during printer redirection in a virtual desktop. The ability to audit redirected print content allows an organization to pre-define certain sensitive data and to track whether print redirection requests in the virtual desktop environment contain any such sensitive data. If such sensitive data is contained in a printer redirection request, a file is generated containing information about the sensitive data, as well as a watermark that encodes information about the printer redirection request, such the user identifier of the user who initiated the print request and a timestamp of when the print request occurred. The generated file is transmitted to one or more registered recipients.
