Abstract: Aliphatic peroxyester polymerization initiators whose thermal stability is controlled by a bromine or chlorine substituent on the carbon atom in the alpha position relative to the carbonyl group in the acid moity of the perester. The initiators show increased efficiency for the polymerization of methyl methacrylate, styrene, ethylene, and in curing unsaturated polyester resins. Typical is 1,1,3,3-tetramethyl butyl peroxy 2-chlorolaurate.

Abstract: The present invention is concerned with a cytotoxic agent comprising an immunoglobulin specific for antigens on the surface of the cell to be killed having 1-10 polymer carrier molecules covalently bonded thereto and the polymer carrier having 5-500 molecules of a cytotoxic drug covalently bound. The compounds of the present invention are useful as anti tumor agents.
Abstract: This invention discloses new compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.6 and R.sup.7 are each alkyl; R.sup.2 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy and trifluoromethyl; R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, lower alkyl, halogen, cyano, alkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkyl and alkoxyalkyl; R.sup.5 is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and alkyl; and X is halogen. The compounds of the above description are useful as herbicides.
Abstract: Fluorine-containing maleic and derivative of the formula ##STR1## WHEREIN A DENOTES 1 OR 2 AND R denotes either the radical --NH.multidot.CO--D--CO.multidot.OH or the radical ##STR2## wherein D represents a divalent radical containing a carbon-carbon double bond, and in which b denotes a number from 3 to 5 if a = 1, or b denotes 3 or 4 if a = 2, and if a = 2 the two radicals R are preferably in the p- or in the m-position to one another, are prepared. These compound are useful for preparing high polymers with good heat resistance.
