The bumper may be a substantially longitudinal hollow member which may include a plurality of treads on a side opposite to that coupled to the frame. The device may then be supported by two of the bumpers and flipped over to be supported by the other two bumpers. The lifting and flipping of the device provides an exercise which employs many of the major muscles groups of the body. Weight plates may be added or removed to accommodate different users.

The method includes: a) providing an elastic resistance exercise belt of a size sufficient to encircle a users abdominopelvic region; b) removably mounting the belt around the abdominopelvic region of the user; c) expanding the abdominopelvic region outward as far as possible by the user against the resistive force of the belt; and then d) pulling the abdominopelvic region back into the body as far as possible with the resistance belt elastically retained in a snug position against the exterior of the abdominopelvic region; e) repeating a cycle comprising the expanding step c) and the pulling step d) for a sufficient number of cycles per day for a sufficient number of days to enhance the urine retention of the person.

A user can grip the handle and install the loop over a hook or post without putting a finger in the loop.
