  • Patent number: 11955024
Abstract: A system, method and computer program product for generating normalized activity results. A mobile application is installed on a plurality of computing devices and normalization base data is received for a first user. The first user is assigned to a user population based on the received normalization base data. A comparator population is determined that includes users having normalization base data within a comparator range. Activity results are collected from users in the user population and the comparator population. At least one activity results is received for the user. At least one normalization factor is determined for the user based on the comparator population activity results and the user population activity results. Normalized activity results are determined by adjusting each of the received activity results using the at least one normalization factor. The normalized activity results can then be displayed to the user.

  • Patent number: 11937918
Abstract: The learning apparatus includes a data generation unit configured to generate learning data based on rehabilitation data and a learning unit configured to perform machine learning using the learning data. A sensor is provided to detect a plurality of motion amounts in a walking motion of a trainee, and it is evaluated that, when one of the motion amounts matches one of abnormal walking criteria, that the walking motion is an abnormal walking pattern that meets the matched abnormal walking criterion. The data generation unit generates each of the pieces of rehabilitation data before and after a change in the results of evaluation of the abnormal walking pattern as learning data. The learning unit sequentially inputs each of the pieces of rehabilitation data as one data set, thereby performing machine learning.

  • Patent number: 11925863
Abstract: Example systems, devices, media, and methods are described for presenting an interactive game in augmented reality on the display of a smart eyewear device. A hand tracking utility detects and tracks the location of hand gestures in real time, based on high-definition video data. The detected hand gestures are compared to library of hand gestures and landmarks. Examples include synchronized, multi-player games in which each device detects and shares hand gestures with other devices for evaluation and scoring. A single-player example includes gesture-shaped icons presented on a virtual scroll that appears to move toward an apparent collision with corresponding key images, awarding points if the player's hand is located near the apparent collision and the detected hand shape matches the moving icon.

  • Patent number: 11878236
Abstract: A video game client on a client device may, for example, be operated by a broadcasting game player, and the client device may capture video generated by a video game client and transmit (e.g., stream) the video to one or more spectators. The video game client may include a local server component, such as a hypertext transfer protocol (HTTP) server, which executes locally at the client device. The local server component may be employed to provide statistical information from the video game to a local client component, such as a web interface. The statistical information provided by the local server component may be included in one or more visual display items that are generated by the client device. The visual display items may be included in the video that is captured and transmitted by the client device, thereby potentially providing live streaming statistical information to spectators of the video game.

  • Patent number: 11882188
Abstract: Methods and system include receiving frames of data generated for an online game, from a server device and encoding the frames using an encoder. Each encoded frame of data is transmitted to a client device over a network, for rendering. A monitoring engine is used to evaluate the data contained in the encoded frame to determine if an amount of data contained in the encoded frame exceeds a maximum data limit specified for a communication channel established between the server device and the client device. When the amount of data contained in the encoded frame exceeds the maximum data limit, a signal is sent to the encoder to dynamically reduce amount of data included in one or more subsequent frames forwarded to the client device for rendering. The adjusting is performed to maintain a frame rate defined for the online game.

  • Patent number: 11872446
Abstract: A method for gait retraining of a runner includes: measuring acceleration data of at least one lower leg of the runner; diagnosing the acceleration data thereby determining a measure of the impact intensity of at least one external tibial shock; and providing real-time feedback to the runner by converting the measure of the impact intensity into distortion of music to a level which is perceived by the runner as a measure for the impact intensity. The conversion is done based on a predefined relationship between perceived distortion levels and imposed distortion levels, and the runner can reduce the distortion of the music by adjusting his or her gait.

  • Patent number: 11861517
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to activity monitoring systems and methods for gating whether or not steps should be counted in an observation window based on whether a decision tree concludes there are consecutive step activities (versus no activity or other activities) in the observation window. Particularly, certain aspects are directed to a method that includes obtaining acceleration data for an observation window of an accelerometer, inputting two or more characteristics of the acceleration data into a decision tree to determine activity occurring within the observation window, assigning a first class to the observation window when the determined activity is associated with consecutive steps, assigning a second class to the observation window when the determined activity is not associated with consecutive steps, and when the first class is assigned to the observation window, determining a step count for the observation window using frequency analysis.

  • Patent number: 11833423
Abstract: Systems and methods of generating, selecting and rendering level of detail (LOD) visual assets are described. In an offline process for auto-generating the LOD visual assets, a LOD management module receives data representative of a LOD visual asset of an object model and its associated switch distance and iteratively reduces a polygon mesh complexity of the LOD visual asset to generate a lower complexity LOD visual asset along with its associated offline authored switch distance. Data representative of the LOD visual assets is presented in one or more GUIs to enable a user to optimize the data. Subsequently, a rendering module selects a LOD visual asset based on its associated switch distance or a modulated switch distance. The modulated switch distance is determined by applying one or more corrective factors to the associated switch distance.
