  • Patent number: 10181252
Abstract: In a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) service, activation of a wearable call device (10) by a PERS client causes a speakerphone console (12) to connect with a PERS call center (18) to enable the PERS client to converse with a call center operator while a PERS client profile is retrieved from a PERS database (52) and displayed on a display component (44) at the PERS call center. From the profile, values of a set of features are generated for the PERS client. An emergency dispatch risk prediction or other risk prediction is computed over a future time horizon for the PERS client based on the generated values of the set of features, and is displayed on the display component. The risk prediction may be wirelessly sent to a mobile device (80) for display on the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10148805
Abstract: A system and method for implementing controls corresponding to a particular mobile device. The method includes receiving from a first party corresponding to the particular mobile device a designation of a second party and receiving control instructions from the second party. A particular geographic area and/or a particular time frame is associated with the second party. A processor alternately delegates one or more device controls of the particular mobile device from the first party to the second party based on a current location of the particular mobile device relative to the particular geographic area and/or a current time relative to the particular time frame. The control instructions received from the second party are applied when the one or more device controls are delegated to the second party.

  • Patent number: 10129758
Abstract: Embodiments of a wireless station and method for controlling use of the 60 GHz band are described. The station (STA) can include memory and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to decode a packet received from a second STA via a microwave wireless channel. The packet includes information indicating that a millimeter wave wireless channel is unavailable for communication. A current geographic location and a mobility status for the second STA may be determined based on an authentication message originating from a third STA. The mobility status may indicate whether the second STA is moving or is stationary. The second STA may be authenticated based at least on the mobility status. Upon authenticating the second STA, usage of the millimeter wave wireless channel may be suspended for a pre-determined period of time.

  • Patent number: 10097974
Abstract: A mobile communication device. The device comprises a processor, a memory, an activation client stored in the memory, and a content client stored in the memory. When executed by the processor during a process of activating the device, the activation client establishes a slot-0 communication channel and completes an activation of the device with a provisioning server in the provisioning infrastructure via a plurality of activation messages exchanged via the slot-0 communication channel. When executed by the processor, the content client parses and analyzes the parsed activation messages, based on analyzing the parsed activation messages, sends a request for content to a media server over the slot-0 communication channel, receives the requested content via the slot-0 communication channel, and presents the received content in a first window of a split-screen in a visual display, where the activation client presents activation information in a second window of the split-screen.

  • Patent number: 10075838
Abstract: The present disclosure discloses automated discovery of and seamless connection to wireless receivers for mirroring, extending, and/or projecting images, audio, and/or video from a computing device to the wireless receivers. A smart discovery program discovers a specific wireless receiver that matches a location for a meeting and provides the user with an option to wirelessly connect to the matching receiver during the meeting. The smart discovery program may also use a current location of the computing device to provide a user with a list relevant wireless receivers. Relevant receivers may include those receivers that are both available and located near the computing device. When a computing device connects to a wireless receiver, it may store the receiver ID for the connected receiver in a local receiver log so that the computing device may use this information to connect to the same receiver at a later time.

  • Patent number: 9992642
Abstract: Approaches provide for generating an introductory text message to be delivered to a recipient when a voice-enabled communications device is used to send a message to the recipient for a first time. For example, audio input data that includes an instruction to send a text message can be received and an application can analyze the audio input data to determine an instruction to send a text message, a message body, and an intended recipient of the text message. The application can determine whether a text message has previously been sent to the intended recipient using the voice-enabled communications device or another device associated with the customer's account. In the situation where a text message has been sent, a text message is generated that includes the message body and the application causes the text message to be sent to the intended recipient.

  • Patent number: 9955027
Abstract: When a plurality of services are enjoyed by a single terminal, a communication regulation caused by another service has influence on enjoyment of another service. A service provider and a mobile communication provider are affiliated with each other and newly provide an affiliated service in which a communication fee for a service use is borne by the service provider to a user. Conventional communication and affiliated service communication are performed on a single communication line of the user together, and communication control is performed in units of services such that a service quality of the affiliated service is maintained. It is implemented by affiliating a communication log and contract information between business operators and performing communication identification using user information at the time of a contract as a key.

  • Patent number: 9910131
Abstract: The present invention discloses a method, which mainly includes: calculating location information of a estimated point by using a set algorithm according to location information of an original point; and calculating a wireless eigenvalue of the estimated point according to a wireless eigenvalue of the original point obtained by measuring; when a wireless eigenvalue reported by a terminal is received, positioning a location of the terminal according to the wireless eigenvalue of the original point and the wireless eigenvalue of the estimated point. In this way, in a mathematical model manner, location information and a wireless eigenvalue of an unmeasured raster point are fitted, with no need to increase an additional measurement workload, thereby saving a resource. In addition, a division granularity of raster measurement may be changed according to an actual requirement, thereby improving accuracy of terminal positioning.
