    Abstract: A composition having pH of 5 or less comprises composite particles dispersed in an aqueous continuous liquid phase. Each composite particle comprises a polymer core surrounded by a silicaceous shell. From 3 to 50 percent of silicon atoms in the silicaceous shells are bonded to respective organic groups via a silicon-carbon covalent bond. The weight ratio of the total amount of the silica in the composition to the total amount of the at least one polymer is from 0.1 to 19. The composition is useful for making various articles. A method for making the composition is also disclosed. Silicaceous particles dispersed in an aqueous phase, wherein from 3 to 50 percent of silicon atoms in the silicaceous particles are bonded to organic groups via a silicon-carbon covalent bond are also disclosed.

The aqueous mixture of the silylurethane, the silylamino polyol, or both, and the aminodisilane together constitute a coating composition that, upon curing, forms a dry-erase coating.

The preparation method comprises the following steps: adding a mixed solution of hydroxyl silicone oil, a silane coupling agent and an organic solvent into a mixed solution of a tetramethylammonium hydroxide aqueous solution and a polar solvent, performing hydrolytic polycondensation at a temperature of 5-40° C. for 4-8 h, and performing distillation to obtain an epoxy-containing silsesquioxane; performing pre-polymerization on the epoxy-containing silsesquioxane and a cyanate ester resin at a temperature of 50-100° C. for 1-8 h to obtain a modified cyanate ester resin; and uniformly mixing the modified cyanate ester resin and a modified anhydride, thereby obtaining the high-temperature resistant modified silicon-containing cyanate ester resin.

The mixed parts have a low viscosity allowing injection under low pressure. Cured reaction products of the two part curable organosiloxane composition has good adhesion to metallic sealing surfaces and good resistance engine oil and other automotive fluids. Cured reaction products of the two part curable organosiloxane composition can surprisingly retain physical properties after long-term exposure to temperatures between 200° C. and 250° C.
