Abstract: This disclosure includes ice machine riser apparatuses and methods of using the same. Some of the present riser apparatuses include a housing that defines an interior channel and has a first end defining a first opening and configured to be coupled to an ice machine, a second end defining a second opening and configured to be coupled to a drink dispenser, and sidewall(s) extending between the first end and the second end and defining at least a third opening, and in some riser apparatuses a fourth opening, in direct communication with the interior channel, a door configured to selectively cover the third opening, and a removable cover configured to cover at least a portion of the fourth opening. Some riser apparatuses elevate an ice machine relative to a drink dispenser. Some riser apparatuses include a third opening disposed at a non-parallel angle relative to the first opening.

Abstract: An integrated engine mount for a vehicle may include a housing bracket and a base bracket vertically coupled, a car body bracket to be connected with a car body, and an insulator and a case bracket fitted inside the housing bracket and the base bracket. An edge of an upper end of the case bracket may be bent to form a folded portion and the folded portion is covered with a rubber member.

Abstract: Device intended for a double glazing including at least one outer glazing and one inner glazing separated by an intermediary space filled with a gas, used to isolate an inside environment from an outside environment, a pressure variation being liable to occur between these environments, for example in the case of an aircraft in flight, includes means for conserving the outer glazing and the inner glazing of this double glazing mainly parallel, independently of this pressure variation. The invention also concerns a double glazing including this device, the process for maintaining parallelism and software using the process.

Abstract: A combination luggage and drink holder assembly includes a luggage, and a drink holder pivotally mounted at the luggage and including a base frame, a hoop pivotally coupled to the top side of the base frame, a tray pivotally coupled to the bottom side of the base frame and two links coupled between the hoop and the tray. The base frame has a structure for supporting the hoop and the tray securely in the extended or received position. The hoop defines a locating hole at the center and a peripheral wall around the border. When the drink holder is set in the received position, the peripheral wall of the hoop surrounds the base frame and the tray, and the tray blocks up the locating hole of the hoop.

Abstract: A roofing shingle having fire resistance material added to the shingle in a localized area includes a substrate having a first portion and a second portion, a first asphalt-based coating impregnating the first portion, the first asphalt coating including a fire retardant material, and a second asphalt-based coating impregnating the second portion, the second asphalt coating containing less of the fire retardant material than the first asphalt coating.

Abstract: A ceiling anchor point and anchor point system for a concrete deck. The anchor point includes a receiver box attached to the form used to construct a concrete deck that becomes embedded the concrete deck. The receiver box is a partially enclosed structure with a lower slot opening that communicates with an interior cavity. The receiver box includes flange surfaces that attached to the inside surface of a form used to construct the concrete deck. Extending transversely through the interior cavity is a rod with its opposite ends that extend laterally from the sides of the receiver box and become covered with concrete. Attached to the portion of the rod located inside the interior cavity is an elongated connector plate. The connector plate is assembled on the rod and is configured to rotate around the rod and nests entirely inside the receive box or extend downward through the slot opening.

Abstract: A composite assembly includes a series of elongated layers joined lengthwise thereof. At least two of the elongated layers each have an upper elongated portion and a lower elongated portion secured together in an end-to-end relationship at a joint therebetween by a connector arrangement. The upper elongated portion is constructed of a wood material, and the lower elongated portion is constructed of a non-wood material.

Abstract: A mixed-class service multiple-tier theater that allows different patrons attending the same movie to experience differing levels of service depending on how much they wish to pay. There are two tiers for seating. The upper tier would be for regular, stadium style seating, while the lower tier would be for VIP seating with fully reclining seats. The lower and upper tiers are completely separated, each offering its own ingress/egress access, with a balcony overhang from the upper tier cantilevered over the lower tier.

Abstract: Disclosed is a drum type washing machine, including a housing; a tub in the housing and having an opening; a drum in the tub; a rotary driving member in the housing configured to provide motive power to the drum and/or to rotate the drum; a tilting driving member between a side wall of the tub and the housing to provide the motive power to tilt the tub; and one or more damping members between the side wall of the tub and the housing to support the tub. The damping member(s) can be varied by tilting the tub.

Abstract: An agricultural access system is described. The system may utilize a plurality of supports, including posts, cables, beams, and so forth to displace an access component. Control systems, sensors, delivery mechanisms, and other functions may be integrated with the system or access components. Some embodiments may include multiple cells with access components configured to interact with adjacent access components. Methods of accessing an agricultural area are also disclosed.

Abstract: A holder which has a loop portion securable around a flexible elongate in a folded configuration. A spine portion is coupled to the loop portion. At least one movable portion is adjustable between a first position, in which the at least one movable portion forms at least a portion of a handle in a substantially coplanar orientation relative to the spine portion, and a second position, in which the at least one movable portion forms at least one hook in a substantially transverse orientation relative to the spine portion. The at least one hook is positionable on a structure to support the loop portion in a hanging position on the structure.

Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for a high bandwidth linear flexure bearing, which may be particularly useful in high end accelerometers and high-precision linear servo mechanisms. Certain embodiments may apply to sensors that measure motion in one dimension. Such embodiments may substantially improve the off-axis performance of the sensors providing ultra-repeatability while maintaining linearity of motion and linearity in spring rate Some embodiments use spring flexures and flex-couplers to support the sensor stage and connect it to the reference base. Several embodiments are disclosed that may fit the needs of specific applications in the area of high-end servos and accelerometers.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for the creation, selection, ordering, shipping and constructing of personalized living environments with customized configurations through the use of an architectural process, unitized assemblies, and assembly joineries. Abstract: One embodiment includes an assembly with a movable column with an upper end and a lower end, wherein the lower end includes a recessed opening. The assembly also includes a locking foot assembly with a base foot and a locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a latch which is spring biased and at least partially extends outward from the base foot such that the latch comes into contact with the lower end of the movable column and is retractable inward into the base foot when the spring is compressed, such that the latch of the locking mechanism can both engage and disengage the recessed opening in the lower end of the movable column.

Abstract: A truss anchor and a truss assembly used with a gate for reinforcing the gate are provided. The truss anchor has a flange defining a first opening, a base opposite to the flange for defining a second opening and a continuous wall extending between the flange and the base. The continuous wall and the base collectively define an open space which is accessible through the first opening. The truss assembly has two of the truss anchors and a rod extending between the truss anchors. The rod has two opposite ends, each end being insertable into the open space of the truss anchor through the second opening. A locking member is used for locking each end and a respective truss anchor. Upon locking the end of the rod and the truss anchor, the flange of the truss anchor abuts against an external surface of the gate and the rod is preloaded with tension.

Abstract: A positioning device for a sliding mechanism that includes exterior, intermediate and interior plates, each plate defining inner and outer side surfaces, the positioning device is characterized by: the intermediate plate having a stop block formed on the inner side surface; and the interior plate including an elongated release rod that is mounted movably on the outer side surface and that has a limit notch receiving the block, and a resilient element engaging the propeller portion for restricting a longitudinal movement of the rod, the interior plate having a position limiting unit constituted by two limiting stubs mounted movably on the outer side surface and having pointed free ends and a biasing element for biasing the limiting stubs in such a manner that the pointed free ends extend into the notch to contact opposite ends of the block, thereby preventing relative movement between the interior and intermediate plates.

Abstract: A ceiling system includes a support structure configured to be installed in a ceiling area of a variety of room types. A ceiling supported by the support structure may cover the majority of the ceiling area and may include light sources to light the room. The ceiling may be defined entirely by panels extending continuously from one end of the ceiling to an opposite end of the ceiling, arranged side-by-side with troughs in between. The panels may themselves be the light sources. Alternatively or additionally light sourced may be disposed within the troughs.

Abstract: A loss prevention device, method and system for a structure subject to aerodynamic lift upon exposure to a wind event is disclosed having at least one tensioner coupled to the structure, at least one anchor attached to a fixed surface, and at least one barrier semipermeable to airflow connected between the at least one anchor and the at least one tensioner and exposed to said wind event. A fraction of a wind energy of said wind event is divided between the structure and the barrier, such that a lift force induced in the structure by the wind energy is at least partially counteracted by a strain induced in the barrier by the wind energy.

Abstract: A curtain-wall system for a building comprises a plurality of prefabricated cells (2), wherein each cell (2) includes: a structural frame (10) with at least two uprights (11) and two end cross members (12), coupled together to form a perimetral structure that delimits an opening (V); one or more infill elements (14-16) associated to the structural frame (10) at a front thereof, for closing the opening (V) delimited by the perimetral structure; and interface sectional elements (20, 21; 70-72) for coupling the one or more infill elements (14-16) to the front of the structural frame (10). The uprights (11) and the cross members (12) of the structural frame (10) are uprights and cross members made of wood, the wooden uprights (11) having at least one first longitudinal groove (22) on a corresponding outer face, and the wooden cross members (12) having at least one second longitudinal groove (23) on a corresponding outer face.

Abstract: A ceiling panel that conceals the grid in a suspended ceiling, having opposed active first and second edges with profiles different from one another, and opposed passive edges. An access kerf, and a registration kerf, at different levels in the active edges, along with a registration step in one active edge, permit the panel to be inserted, or removed, by successive hinge actions. When installed, the panel is locked to the ceiling with no visual indications on how the panel can be removed. During installation the panel is self-centering and self-aligning.
