  • Patent number: 11420695
Abstract: An unmanned and self-powered vehicle or Towable Autonomous Dray (TOAD) may follow a vehicle and tow a trailer, haul a load, and/or recharge a pilot vehicle. The TOAD may be semi-autonomous and may attach to a pilot vehicle by an electronic identification. Further, wireless charging of the pilot vehicle may be provided by the TOAD. Smart trailer brakes, electric trailer axles, and a mechanically coupled tow vehicle may be provided by the TOAD in combination with additional units. A smart trailer controller may include a smart head unit and a smart tail unit in a trailer that may offer trailer security and increased safety. A smart trailer brake controller on the pilot vehicle and a smart module on the trailer may be applied where no unmanned vehicle is employed, such as, in a classic pick-up/trailer combination.

  • Patent number: 11390338
Abstract: The present invention relates to an urban vehicle for transporting large volume and light weight cargo that is subdivided into two: a mini-tractor unit and a lightweight semi-platform. These are coupled by means of a fifth wheel with a kingpin, allowing transporting high cubic coefficient products including long formats. The mini-tractor unit of the invention is shorter between the steering and drive axles compared with a vehicle for transporting cargo of the common type. The wheelbase between the steering (front) and driving (rear) axles of the mini-tractor unit is 1.3 to 1.7 times the width of the steering axle.

  • Patent number: 11377136
Abstract: A steering device includes an electric actuator that applies a steering force to one end side of a steering shaft. The other end side of the steering shaft is provided with a displacement detection part for detecting the movement amount of the steering shaft. Either a detection target or a displacement detection sensor is provided on the steering shaft and the other is provided in a housing so as to output a signal according to a relative position change amount of the detection target with respect to the displacement detection sensor in the direction of the first axis. A first restriction mechanism restricts the relative movement of the detection target and the displacement detection sensor in a radial direction regarding the first axis to limit the change in the relative position in the radial direction of the detection target and the displacement detection sensor.

  • Patent number: 11370507
Abstract: The present invention disclose a continuously variable reciprocating prime mover. The feature of this continuously variable reciprocating prime mover is that the reciprocating rotatory motion of the legs is modified into the reciprocating linear flexion and extension of the legs, by which one leg is flexed while the other leg is stretching, the combined force of the legs can be multiplied by the force. After each linear motion stroke is completed, the reverse linear motion stroke is repeated, and the driving direction remains unchanged. At any moment of the full stroke of the reciprocating linear flexion and extension of the legs, both can generate 2 times of the instantaneous power equivalent to the maximum moment point of the circular rotation.
