    Abstract: Intermediate compounds for the preparation of useful 14-crown-4-ether derivatives are presented. The intermediates have the structure: ##STR1## wherein R represents CH.sub.3, n-C.sub.12 H.sub.25 and CH.sub.2 C.sub.6 H.sub.5 ; and R.sub.2 represents CH.sub.3, and n-C.sub.7 H.sub.15.
