Abstract: A holding device includes a base including a first protrusion and a second protrusion with a receiving space defined between the two protrusions. The first protrusion has a hole defined in an inside thereof and a clamping member is eccentrically received in the first protrusion so that a friction portion of the clamping member is movably extended through the hole and protrudes into the receiving space. A shank of a tool is received in the receiving space and clamped by the clamping member and a friction plate on the second protrusion. A cover is received in the first protrusion from an open rear end of the base so as to prevent foreign objects from entering the first protrusion.
Abstract: A self-propelled forage harvester includes front and rear sets of driven ground wheels. The front set of wheels is driven through a transmission including an input shaft driven by a variable displacement motor and coupled to the front set of wheels by a gear train including one planetary gear set, (in one embodiment), and two planetary gear sets, (in a second embodiment). In both cases, the transmission is shiftable so as to establish at least first and second gear ratios. The shifting of the transmission is accomplished automatically by a control arrangement which takes into account the operating mode of the harvester so that a ratio for producing the correct velocity range for harvesting is established when the harvester is in a working operating mode, and a higher velocity range is established when the harvester is in a transport operating mode. Other operating parameters are sensed and used to automatically control hydraulic pump and/or motor displacement, and for controlling engine speed.
Abstract: A brush cutter blade for shredding of grasses, weeds, vines and brush and also for saw cutting of saplings and tree branches, comprising a circular saw blade member with auxiliary cutting elements projecting from the underside of the blade. Several preferred embodiments include semielliptic and rectangular structures and serrated and non-serrated cutting edges for the auxiliary cutting elements. All embodiments share outwardly sloped, substantially flat structures, circularly and symmetrically disposed, with centrally inclined base lines. This combination of structural features is enacted upon by centrifugal forces during rotation, to create an effective self-cleaning mechanism, whereby cutting debris is urged upward, outward and away from the auxiliary cutting elements.
Abstract: An apparatus for gathering, picking up and carrying loose materials such as dirt, leaves, debris, trash, hay, ice, snow and other materials or objects consists of two grasping elements which each have shafts with grasping devices or heads at one end, and a coupling which joins their shafts. The grasping elements can be commercially available rakes or shovels. Loose materials are gathered and picked up by placing one hand on the shaft of each grasping element and drawing the heads together. The coupling is flexible and can be moved along the shafts of the grasping elements to change the manner in which the elements function together. When the coupling is positioned at the end near the grasping heads, the apparatus functions in the manner of a post hole digger. When it is positioned near the middle or far end of the shafts, the apparatus functions in the manner of rake tongs or tweezers tongs.
Abstract: A hydraulic excavator is equipped with one or more downsizing scheme including at least one of: (i) a bubble removing device for removing bubbles in hydraulic fluid, (ii) a hydraulic tank including a main tank and a variable capacity tank arranged separately from each other, and (iii) a variable capacity tank or hydraulic tank which is fitted to the rear surface of the upper cover of the seat-side block. Thus, the lateral section of the seat can be ultimately downsized to provide a large space around the seat. Then, unlike the prior art, a canopy or a cab of a larger hydraulic excavator can be securely arranged on the upper swing body of a small hydraulic excavator. Since such large parts can be commonly used with large hydraulic excavators, it is possible to significantly reduce the cost of the hydraulic excavator.
Abstract: A walk-behind greens mower having a mobile structure and a ground engaging traction member rotatably coupled to the mobile structure. The ground engaging traction member imparts traction movement to the mobile structure for movement on the ground at a ground speed. An internal combustion engine is supported on the mobile structure and outputs a driving force to the ground engaging traction member. A bed knife is supported by the mobile structure having a cutting edge that cooperates with a grass cutting reel rotatably supported on the mobile structure. An electric motor supported on the mobile structure rotatably driving the grass cutting reel at a rotational speed that can vary depending upon the detected ground speed.
Abstract: The automation mechanism has of three rubber discs, two of which are connected to two swiveling brackets. The brackets are directed by two cables and two cable levers, each one connected to each handlebar. The swivelling brackets consist of two rubber discs that make contact to the center disc at the left side of the shroud. This center disc is connected to the rotating snow auger inside the shroud, which is the driving force for this invention. When one of the rubber discs makes contact with the rotating rubber disc at the center, it rotates a drive chain that is connected to a sprocket near the discharge chute. The sprocket rotates a clutch that rotates a worm gear, and in turn, rotates the discharge chute. Once the discharge chute reaches its maximum rotating limit, the clutch disengages by slipping. The operator can move the chute either right or left by pulling on either the left or right lever on the handlebars, while operating the snow blower at the same time.
Abstract: An attachment for a lawn maintenance vehicle includes a trimming apparatus. The attachment allows vertical and horizontal movement of the trimming apparatus such that lawn areas which are not accessible to the lawn maintenance vehicle's cutting apparatus can be trimmed easily.

The transmission mechanism includes an input shaft operably coupling a transmission shaft from the engine to the pump shaft, a first output shaft for transmitting power from the motor shaft to a transmission shaft for the front wheels, a PTO shaft for transmitting power from the input shaft to a transmission shaft for the mower unit, and a second output shaft for transmitting power from the input shaft to the charge pump.
Abstract: An implement, such as a header for a combine, having an integral transport system with a pair of ground engaging wheels that are moved between transport positions used in transporting the implement and stowed positions on the implement during use of the implement. The wheels may be used as gauge wheels during use to support the ends of the implement. A trailer tongue is retractable and stowed onboard the implement during use, as is a tongue jack. Lights are provided at the end of the implement for visibility during transport. The lights are stowed beneath a cover on the end of the implement to protect the lights from damage during use. All components of the transport system are carried on the implement during use to ensure that they are with the implement when needed to transport the implement. All components are mounted with pins, enabling the implement to be converted between transport and use configurations without the use of hand tools.

Abstract: Disclosed is a self propelled walk behind mower comprised of a tractor unit and a mowing deck. The tractor unit is hydrostatically driven with a unique control system whereby the forward speed of the tractor is set by operating an electric rocker switch with an operator's thumb. Hand levers are used to turn the tractor to the left and the right. The tractor unit comprises two drive wheels and a third wheel that is pivotally attached, letting the tractor unit stand upright when no implements are attached. Implements attach to the front of the tractor through a movable attachment so that the tractor and implement can closely follow the contour of the ground while keeping the operator controls in a convenient position.
Abstract: A forage harvester chopper arrangement is located within a housing provided with an access door mounted for pivoting vertically between a chopping position, wherein access to the chopping arrangement is prevented, and a grinding position, permitting access to the chopping arrangement by a grinding arrangement. A locking arrangement is associated with the access door and an actuator is coupled to the access door and the locking arrangement by a linkage containing lost-motion means which operates such that when moving the access door to its grinding position, the locking arrangement is moved to its unlocked position prior to the access door being raised to its grinding position, and such that when returning the access door to its chopping position, the access door is closed before the locking arrangement is moved to its locked position.
