  • Patent number: 10594768
Abstract: Disclosed are an apparatus and methods of remotely managing a managed machine over a communication network. One example method of operation may include identifying the managed machine operating in a communication network and transmitting a connection establishment message to the managed machine over the communication network. In response, an acceptance message may be received from the manage machine. Once a secure channel has been established, the administrator may begin transmitting a command prompt command over the communication network to be executed on the managed machine. The management operations may be performed from a browser-based application.

  • Patent number: 10567523
Abstract: In the present invention a content distribution network delivers content that can include training, entertainment, assessment, and evaluation among many other types of content. Content can be delivered on-demand to devices operated by users in local or remote locations or can be delivered live in a present local or live-streamed to remote locations. In each of these cases the user, thru the user device, can provide valuable feedback to the content distribution network to improve content delivery and user content retention in the form of correlating detected patterns with the content being delivered. An image sensor attached to a user device captures facial expressions as patterns and transmits them to a content manager that aligns the pattern with the content and determines a sentiment corresponding to the pattern. The content manager can improve the user's content reception by implementing a workflow responsive to the corresponding sentiment pattern.

  • Patent number: 10560348
Abstract: A network access device for facilitating the troubleshooting of network connectivity problems on a directly connected client device is provided. In one embodiment, the network access device can receive, from the client device, a request directed to a preconfigured web address associated with the network access device. In response to the request, the network access device can generate a web page comprising a ticket number for the client device and a link or form element for submitting a support request and can transmit the web page to the client device. The network access device can subsequently receive a submission of the support request from the client device. In response to the submission, the network access device can automatically collect diagnostic information pertaining to the client device. The network access device can then transmit the diagnostic information and the ticket number to one or more remote servers.

  • Patent number: 10560732
Abstract: A system for permitting temporary access for delivery of owned content to a location selected by a subscriber is provided. The system includes a central facility in communication with a plurality of local networks. Through one of the local networks, the subscriber can access a database in the central facility, which contains content owned by the subscriber. An enhanced progressive download system and method for high definition audio-visual content is also provided. This method uses the download speed of the subscriber, the run time of the content to be downloaded, the size of the content, and the amount of local storage in the appliance of the subscriber. A desired wait time for downloading the content is selected, and based on these parameters, the amount of local storage needed for the content is calculated. If a ratio of the local storage available to the local storage needed for the content is above a desired threshold, a download of the content can begin.

  • Patent number: 10554743
Abstract: Content downloads can be managed. For example, intermediary software can receive a first request to download content from a remote server. The intermediary software can receive the first request from content requesting software. The first request can be formed according to a first protocol. The intermediary software can intercept the first request to prevent the first request from being communicated to the remote server. The intermediary software can generate a second request based on the first request and according to a second protocol that is different from the first protocol and that is usable with a peer-to-peer network. The intermediary software can then transmit the second request to the peer-to-peer network to cause the content to be downloaded from the peer-to-peer network.

  • Patent number: 10542078
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for balancing load of computing resources among a plurality of servers by a plurality of load balancers. Clients communicate with a front-end device which forwards requests to the load balancers in a cyclical fashion. The load balancers estimate the impact of the received requests and can forward client requests to an estimated least loaded backend server. The backend servers process client requests and periodically report load statistics to the load balancers.

  • Patent number: 10541880
Abstract: Systems and methods for regulating data traffic using active learning techniques. In one embodiment, a global monitor communicates with a plurality of sensors over a wide area network. The global monitor builds a global model for a data analytics service that maps elements to values based on data reported by the sensors. The global monitor generates a query for the data from the sensors, selects one or more candidate elements from the elements in the global model, generates a global policy specifying that the data requested from the sensors is limited to the data targeted to the candidate element(s), and sends the query indicating the global policy to the sensors. The global monitor receives the data targeted to the candidate element(s) from the sensors according to the global policy, and adjusts the global model based on the data targeted to the candidate element(s).

  • Patent number: 10516587
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein can use multiple fields with dynamically determined priorities based on field values for node resolution. The system can generate activity field-value pairs including an activity value associated with an activity field from an electronic activity. The system can determine a frequency score based on a first count of node field-value pairs that match the activity value. The system can assign a weight to the activity value based on the frequency score. The system can generate a match score of a candidate node profile indicating a likelihood that the electronic activity is transmitted or received by an account corresponding to the candidate node profile. The system can store an association between the electronic activity and the node profile selected based on the match score.

  • Patent number: 10498597
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards managing computer applications. A configuration package may be provided to provision a cloud service stack on a cloud platform such that the cloud service stack corresponds to a main stack model. If a monitoring engine identifies inconsistencies between the cloud service stack and the main stack model, a deployment engine may be provided to traverse the main stack model such that the deployment engine may visit each of one or more stack model entities included in the main stack model. Then an updated configuration package may be provided for the cloud platform based on the traversal. And, the updated configuration package may be provided to the cloud platform to re-provision the cloud service stack.

  • Patent number: 10498638
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for a forwarding element that forwards packets. The method receives a packet. The method performs a first stage lookup of a hash table for a first hash of a first set of header fields and un-wildcards bits of a wildcard mask that corresponds to the first set of header fields. If a matching hash is found in the first stage lookup, the method performs a second stage lookup of the hash table for a second hash of a second set of header fields and un-wildcards bits of the wildcard mask that corresponds to the second set of header fields. The method identifies a matching rule for the packet. The method generates a flow based on the matching rule and the wildcard mask, wherein the flow is used to process each other packets that match each bit which is un-wildcarded.

  • Patent number: 10498629
Abstract: This disclosure provides a system, method, and machine-readable memory for determining various pre-sharing insights and post-sharing insights. The system is configured to receive a request to share content with a first plurality of users represented as nodes in a graph associated with a first user. The system is also configured to determine a second plurality of users selected from the first plurality of users by traversing one or more nodes of the graph. The system further classifies the content to determine a plurality of topics for the content. The system then determines a third plurality of users selected from the second plurality of users by comparing the plurality of topics with user profile attribute values associated with each user of the second plurality of users. The system then communicates a notification to the first user that includes an identification of the third plurality of users.

  • Patent number: 10498857
Abstract: A technology is described for monitoring interaction events and scaling services based in part on an impact of the interaction events. An example method may include receiving metadata describing interaction events taking place at services included in a group of services executing in a computing service environment. The metadata may be analyzed to identify a first interaction load for a first service included in the group of services that may result in impacting a second interaction load for a second service included in the group of services. The second service may be notified of the impending impact on the second interaction load resulting from the first interaction load, and the second service may scale the number of second service instances for the second service in anticipation of the impending impact on the second interaction load.
