    Abstract: Various arrangements of smart devices and systems are presented. Such smart devices and systems may include a wireless interface, a light sensor that detects an ambient brightness level of an ambient environment of the smart device, a motion sensor that detects motion of a user in the ambient environment of the smart device, a light that is capable of outputting light into the ambient environment of the smart device, and a processing system. The processing system may cause the light to illuminate based on: the message indicating that the lighting feature has been activated; the ambient brightness level being below the threshold brightness value; and the user moving in the ambient environment of the smart device or system.

The hazard detector generates hazard data indicating the detection of the hazard level and transmits the hazard data to the computer server system. The computer server system associates a location with the hazard detector. Activity data indicating a user location is received at the computer server system and the hazard data is received at the computer server system. The computer server system generates a notification based on the hazard location and the user location in response to receiving the hazard data.

The RFID transceiver may receive the vehicle identification data at the RFID transceiver from a cryptographic RFID transponder as part of the vehicle. The computing device may receive user authentication signals authorizing a plurality of fueling stations from an authorized user of the vehicle. The computing device may determine from the fueling location data, the vehicle identification data, and the user authentication signals one or more fueling patterns. The computing device may detect a fueling location deviating from the one or more fueling patterns send an alert to an authorized device.

    Abstract: A system used to detect a fall and to provide data has a wearable device that includes a pre-filter, an accelerometer and a transmitter. The pre-filter includes buffers, a low pass filter, a flag, and a measuring device. The pre-filter receives data points transmitted by the accelerometer. The pre-filter generates a magnitude value, and calculates a jerk value in relation to the magnitude value. The pre-filter appends the jerk value to one of the buffers and provides the jerk value to the measuring device. The pre-filter further transmits the magnitude value to a neural network.
