  • Patent number: 11416936
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices may enable management of a renewable power asset. A control device may generate a Day-Ahead (DA) pricing model, a Real-Time (RT) pricing model and a renewable generation model for the renewable power asset. Optimal DA commitments may be determined, and an optimal RT schedule estimated. A DA power delivery strategy and an RT power delivery strategy may be determined. The determined DA and RT power delivery strategies may be evaluated based on obtained real power prices. The DA and RT power delivery strategies may be redetermined, and the renewable power asset may be controlled to deliver power the DA and RT power delivery strategies. The value of the renewable power asset may be maximized while bounding financial risks and returns associated with scheduling the renewable power asset as tailored to risk preferences of the renewable power asset owner or operator.

  • Patent number: 11410110
Abstract: Provided are techniques for alert generation based on a cognitive state and a physical state. Wearables data, text communications, voice communications, and images of a caregiver providing care to a patient are obtained. The wearables data, the text communications, the voice communications, and the images are analyzed to identify a cognitive state and a physical state of the caregiver. The cognitive state and the physical state are compared to one or more care rules associated with tasks of the caregiver for the patient. In response to the comparison indicating any one of the cognitive state and the physical state prevent the caregiver from executing the tasks, an alert is generated. One or more recommendations for resolving the alert based on one or more recommendation rules are generated.

  • Patent number: 11392867
Abstract: Techniques for assigning various operations to itineraries that can be assigned to personnel. A plurality of tags relating to past instances of a plurality of various operations are retrieved from an electronic data source. Each tag includes a first symbol representing a magnitude of time variance for a respective operation of the various operations and a second symbol representing a likelihood of time variance for the respective operation. The plurality of tags are parsed, and a plurality of predicted time variances are determined. A first predicted time variance is selected for a first operation based on a reliability factor. A combination of operations is identified, and a likelihood that the combination of operations does not exceed at least one personal limit of personnel is determined. An itinerary that includes the identified combination of operations is generated. Personnel are automatically tasked to perform the operations of the generated itinerary.

  • Patent number: 11328369
Abstract: Systems and methods for engagement mapping based on counterfactual experiments are provided. In example embodiments, a network system receives parameters for one or more counterfactual experiments or tests. Based on the parameters, the network system selects one or more users of a social network platform to subject to the test(s) and selects edges of a social network of each of the one or more users to block. The network system then filters out notifications and feed items from the selected edges of the one or more users. Behavior data of the one or more users based on the filtering out of the notifications and feed items is aggregated, whereby the behavior data indicates engagement of the one or more users on the social networking platform based on the filtering of the notifications and feed items. Recommendations are derived based on the aggregated behavior data and presented to the users.

  • Patent number: 11328361
Abstract: A system and method may determine the carbon emissions risk to an institution through its lending and investment activities to a plurality of counterparties by, for example, determining carbon emissions data for a number of counterparties and, for each counterparty, determining the carbon emissions risk to the institution. A system and method may determine the proportion of total capital of a counterparty that is being financed by a bank, and multiply this by a carbon emissions measure for the counterparty. Embodiments may be applied to determine optimal investment strategies for managing an institution's exposures to carbon risk over time. Such measures may be altered or projected using scenarios describing future emissions data.

  • Patent number: 11321654
Abstract: Methods, computer program products, and systems are presented for service cost prediction using machine learning. A claims risk model is formed for predicting a per member per month cost based on variables trained in early prediction models and variables of claim record data from data sources. A training dataset for the claims risk model is modified based on a preconfigured cap value and two distinctive datasets are generated, which trains the claims risk model into a capped submodel and an outlier submodel, respectively. Each submodel makes prediction of the per member per month cost and a slice model interpolates a cost predicted by the capped submodel and another predicted by the outlier submodel. The splice model redistributes the outcomes of the capped submodel and the outlier submodel.

  • Patent number: 11157973
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for predicting the extent and cost of repair resulting from a vehicle accident. The estimates can be based on one or more of in-vehicle sensor measurements during the accident, external observations such as weather and traffic and road conditions and manually or digitally input accident reports. The gathered information is compared to information in a database from historical accidents and the resulting damage and costs for those. The information is classified according to impact force, direction and location along with the specific type of vehicle. Maintaining and refreshing the information and predictive models in the system is also part of the invention.
