  • Patent number: 11626892
Abstract: A multi-band radio frequency (RF) front-end circuit is provided. The multi-band RF front-circuit includes multiple RF circuits configured to amplify RF signals received and/or to be transmitted in multiple RF bands and/or polarizations via an antenna circuit. The antenna circuit includes multiple antenna tap points each coupled to a respective one of the RF circuits. Since each of the RF circuits has a respective impedance that can vary based on the RF bands, the antenna tap points are so positioned on the antenna circuit to each present a respective drive impedance that matches the respective impedance of a coupled RF circuit. Further, the antenna tap points are also positioned on the antenna circuit to cause desired RF isolations between the RF bands and/or the polarizations. Consequently, the multi-band RF front-end circuit can achieve optimal RF performance across a wide range of RF bands with reduced footprint and insertion losses.

  • Patent number: 11616478
Abstract: An uplink multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) transmitter apparatus includes a transmitter chain that includes a sigma-delta circuit that creates a summed (sigma) signal and a difference (delta) signal from two original signals to be transmitted. These new sigma and delta signals are amplified by power amplifiers to a desired output level before having two signals reconstructed from the amplified sigma and amplified delta signals by a second circuit. These reconstructed signals match the two original signals in content but are at a desired amplified level relative to the two original signals. The reconstructed signals are then transmitted through respective antennas as uplink signals. By employing this uplink MIMO transmitter apparatus, it is possible to use smaller power amplifiers, which may reduce footprint, power consumption, and costs of the uplink MIMO transmitter apparatus.

  • Patent number: 11601146
Abstract: Examples described herein include methods, devices, and systems which may compensate input data for nonlinear power amplifier noise to generate compensated input data. In compensating the noise, during an uplink transmission time interval (TTI), a switch path is activated to provide amplified input data to a receiver stage including a recurrent neural network (RNN). The RNN may calculate an error representative of the noise based partly on the input signal to be transmitted and a feedback signal to generate filter coefficient data associated with the power amplifier noise. The feedback signal is provided, after processing through the receiver, to the RNN. During an uplink TTI, the amplified input data may also be transmitted as the RF wireless transmission via an RF antenna. During a downlink TTI, the switch path may be deactivated and the receiver stage may receive an additional RF wireless transmission to be processed in the receiver stage.
