Abstract: Embodiments of present disclosure discloses system and method for performing laser marking. Initially, a first image of a region to be laser marked may be captured and compared with a predefined image of a predefined pattern to be laser marked on the region. By the comparison, a first score may be computed. The first score may indicate marking present in the region to be laser marked, in relation to the predefined image. Further, a co-ordinate data of a configuration file, relating to the predefined pattern, in the laser marking system may be modified based on the first score, for performing the laser marking on the region.

Abstract: Various examples are provided related to the preparation of electrodes on carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) composites with low contact resistance. Laser-based surface preparation can be used for bonding to CFRP composites. In one example, a method includes preparing a pretreated target area on a CFRP composite surface using laser pulsed irradiation and bonding an electrode to exposed fibers in the pretreated target area. The surface preparation can allow the electrode to have a low contact resistance with the CFRP composite.

Abstract: A front pull piercing valve assembly attached to a flexible container, whereby; when the wall of the flexible container is pulled into contact with a piercing element in the assembly, the contents of the container are dispensed by piercing the wall of the container and liquid flows through the valve assembly and directly into a container or through flexible hose or another connection to be dispensed. The valve assembly is configured in such a manner that during use it is filed with the liquid being dispensed thereby preventing the liquid in the flexible container from being exposed to air, namely, oxygen that often causes spoilage of certain liquids, such as wine.
Abstract: A fluid dispensing container is provided. The container includes a container body formed from a first flexible material defining an interior cavity. The container includes a membrane formed from a second flexible material and a seal coupling the membrane to the inner surface of the container body. The membrane divides the interior cavity into a contents chamber and a dispensing chamber, and the membrane and the seal are configured to be fluid tight to maintain fluid within the contents chamber prior to rupture of the membrane. The rupture stress of the second flexible material is less than the rupture stress of the first flexible material such that, as fluid pressure within the contents chamber increases, the membrane is configured to rupture without the container body rupturing.
Abstract: A substrate has a first surface with at least one division line formed thereon and a second surface opposite the first surface. The substrate is processed by applying a pulsed laser beam from the side of the first surface. The substrate is transparent to the pulsed laser beam. The pulsed laser beam is applied at least in a plurality of positions along the at least one division line, a focal point of the pulsed laser beam located at a distance from the first surface in the direction from the first surface towards the second surface, so as to form a plurality of modified regions inside the substrate. Each modified region is entirely within the bulk of the substrate, without any openings open to the first surface or the second surface. Substrate material is removed along the at least one division line where the modified regions are present.

Abstract: A mop or like cleaning implement with a fluid reservoir and dispensing handle and with an integral refill/add-on reservoir receiver which embraces the handle. A refill/add on reservoir fluid container is inserted into the receiver to supplement and/or replenish the volume of liquid contained in the fluid reservoir handle. The refill fluid container can be removed and replaced when empty. The reservoir and dispensing handle can be filled and refilled independently of the refill fluid container, or can be refilled using the refill container. Either way, a refill container can be inserted into the refill receiver to supplement the volume of fluid in the reservoir handle.
Abstract: A dispensing apparatus having various features is described. The dispensing apparatus can receive a cartridge having a movable plunger configured to direct the fluid through a dispensing valve. The plunger can be movable under a force applied by air pressure. The cartridge can be inserted in the dispensing apparatus using a clamping and sealing mechanism and can be released using a cartridge ejector. The dispensing apparatus can include a ball valve having a ball defining an internal passageway that selectively aligns with a second internal passageway outside of the ball, a brush mounted via an elongating mechanism, and/or a gear train transmitting power from the elongating mechanism.

Abstract: A liquid bottle or container, such as for liquid detergent, and corresponding cap and cup is disclosed for operation in a horizontal position with the cap and cup side wall substantially parallel to the ground, the cap and cup shape providing a built-in drip collector cavity positioned around a portion of the circumference or perimeter of the cap and cup rim on the open end of the cap. The cap and cup may be used to cover a nozzle or other valve dispenser during storage. The drip collector cavity has a volume sufficient to collect liquid residue remaining after normal use of the cap as a measuring and dispensing cup, and any post-use drops from the dispenser nozzle. Thus, the cap and cup of the present disclosure is dripless or nearly drip less. In an embodiment, at least a portion of the cap rim perimeter around which no built-in drip collector cavity is positioned is shaped as a pouring spout.

The method includes providing a beverage dispenser including a pump having a gas exhaust port, a dispensing valve, and a sensor disposed on the pump gas exhaust port. The method may include activating the beverage dispenser to dispense a beverage through the dispensing valve and during the activating, sensing a gas exhaust pattern of the pump. The method may also include generating a signal based on the sensed gas exhaust pattern and determining whether the beverage dispenser is in a normal-pour state or a sold-out state. The method may also include providing feedback about the sold-out state to a user interface of the beverage dispenser.
