Abstract: A feature generator generates a feature data structure (FDS) by pre-processing a tax return of a user by extracting inherent features and generating derived features based on the tax return; and populating entries of the FDS based on the inherent and derived features. A prediction engine generates a prediction data structure (PDS) based on the FDS. The PDS includes a prediction that the user has a credit score above a first credit score threshold by applying the features to a machine learning model (MLM). The MLM is trained using first tax returns for first tax payers, each having a credit score above the first threshold, and second tax returns for second tax payers, each having a credit score below the first threshold. A task manager executes, based on the prediction, a task that requires the credit score of the user exceed a second credit score threshold less than the first threshold.

Abstract: Systems and methods for interaction-based validation of electronic tickets. In some embodiments, the system renders a first visually illustrative scene on an interactive display screen of a mobile device, the first visually illustrative scene responsive to a pre-determined gesture performed at a predetermined location on the interactive display screen. Upon a user interacting with the first visually illustrative scene, an app on the user's mobile device extracts user interaction information. In response to determining that the user interaction information matches with a pre-determined gesture performed at the predetermined location, the system renders a second visually illustrative scene on the interactive display screen of the mobile device.

Abstract: Integrating payment processing functionality into a third-party application via software development kit (SDK) instructions is described. In an example, a payment card reader can include reader instructions executable on the payment card reader to configure the payment card reader to read payment card data from a payment card and transmit the payment card data to a mobile device for processing by SDK instructions on the mobile device. The SDK instructions can be executable on the mobile device to configure the mobile device to process the payment card data from the payment card reader. The SDK instructions, which can be provided by a payment processor, can be configured to be integrated into a third-party application on the mobile device, wherein the third-party application is provided by an entity distinct from the payment processor.

Abstract: Temporarily provisioning card on file payment functionality to proximate merchants is described herein. A point-of-sale (POS) application executable by a POS device associated with a merchant can store an identifier associated with payment data corresponding to a payment instrument of a customer for use in future transactions with the customer. A payment processing service can determine other merchant(s) that subscribe to services of the payment processing service are participating in an event with the merchant and can receive a request to provision the payment data to the other merchant(s) to enable the other merchant(s) to use the identifier to complete transaction(s) with the customer without requiring the customer to present the payment instrument in association with the transaction(s). The payment processing service can provision the identifier to other POS device(s) of the other merchant(s) for temporarily storing the identifier on individual POS devices of the other POS device(s).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for determining the quality of an application based on user behaviors of application management. The method includes: 1) preprocessing data on user behaviors of application management to obtain a sequence of management behaviors as a training set; 2) extracting features of the user behaviors from the obtained sequence of management behaviors; 3) establishing a multi-dimensional independent variable space using the extracted behavior features, wherein each application in the training set is considered as a point in the space; training a model according to the space; and debugging to obtain optimal model parameters and a definite regression model; 4) arranging the data of the management behaviors of each application to be predicted according to step 1) and step 2), and then inputting the result into the regression model, wherein an output of the regression model is the result of the application quality determination.

Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating online and in-store shopping are disclosed. The systems include a cashier station located in a store. The cashier station has a register, a product ID input device, and a screen accessible to a customer at the cashier station. An online site configured to facilitate ecommerce transactions between users and the store is also provided. The cashier station is in communication with the online store whereby recommended products are presented to the customer on the screen in response to the input of a product ID at the cashier station allowing the customer to make additional related purchases from the online site contemporaneously with the in-store purchase.

Abstract: A set of dynamically-modifiable objects are maintained by a network system for a listing on an online marketplace. Each of the dynamically-modifiable objects includes a pointer referencing a corresponding one of a set of data records, each being associated with a respective asset for sale via the listing on the online marketplace. While the listing is active on the online marketplace, the network system can detect a change in status for a first data record that is referenced by a first pointer of a first dynamically-modifiable object. In response, the network system can identify a second data record not referenced by any pointers of the set of dynamically-modifiable objects and automatically update the first dynamically-modifiable object by de-referencing the first pointer from the first data record and referencing the first pointer to the second data record.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for electronic transaction messaging conversion. One method comprises receiving an authorization request message from a point of sale (POS) device, the authorization request message comprising transaction data associated with a transaction. Upon validating the authorization request message, a provisional authorization response message may be generated and sent to the POS device. Subsequently, a capture message may be received from the POS device, requesting clearing and settlement of the transaction. The capture message may be validated and translated to a composite message that is single-message system (SMS)-compatible. The composite message may then be sent downstream for further processing.

Abstract: Features related to systems and methods for predictive estimation for network inventory planning for items for distribution through a multi-echelon network are disclosed. The problem may be modeled to account for demand for an item that may be satisfied by fulfillment centers within the network. The model considers benefits to ensuring adequate inventory to meet expected demand streams along with any savings accruing from a lower transfer and salvage costs.

Abstract: Automated travel diary creation is provided. Various implicit and explicit signals are collected and shared with a trip content generation system, which operates to identify visits made by a user and details about trip associated visits, to generate sentences describing the visits based on a learned personal writing style of the user, and to order the generated sentences and form coherent paragraphs in combination with related images to generate an automatically curated, enriched, and personalized travel diary. The travel diary is displayed to the user in a graphical user interface. The user is enabled to edit the travel diary and to share the travel diary with other users.

Abstract: The present invention discloses methods, systems, and tools for evaluating a number of value significance measures of ontological subjects of compositions or networks. The method breaks a composition into its constituent ontological subjects of different orders and builds a participation matrix indicating the participation of ontological subjects of the composition in other ontological subjects, i.e. the partitions, of the composition. Using the participation information of the OSs into each other, an association strength matrix is built from which the value significance measures of the partitions of the composition are calculated. The methods systematically calculate the value significances of the ontological subjects of different orders of the composition. Various systems for implementing the methods and some exemplary applications and services are disclosed.

Abstract: Temporarily provisioning payment functionality to alternate payment instrument(s) is described herein. In an example, one or more servers can determine an occurrence of an event associated with one or more merchants. Based at least in part on determining the occurrence of the event, the one or more servers can associate payment data of a payment instrument with an identifier of a wearable payment object to temporarily enable a customer associated with the wearable payment object to use the wearable payment object instead of the payment instrument for transacting with the one or more merchants associated with the event. In at least one example, the wearable payment object can be a RFID-enabled wristband to enable customers at the event (e.g., a festival, a market, etc.) to use the RFID-enabled wristband for transacting with the one or more merchants.
