  • Patent number: 11027656
Abstract: A hub that receives sensor data streams and then distributes the data streams to the various systems that use the sensor data. A demultiplexer (demux) receives the streams, filters out undesired streams and provides desired streams to the proper multiplexer (mux) or muxes of a series of muxes. Each mux combines received streams and provides an output stream to a respective formatter or output block. The formatter or output block is configured based on the destination of the mux output stream, such as an image signal processor, a processor, memory or external transmission. The output block reformats the received stream to a format appropriate for the recipient and then provides the reformatted stream to that recipient.

  • Patent number: 11006169
Abstract: Master computing device and method for synchronizing display of a digital content (for example a digital signage content) on the master computing device and on one or more slave computing device. The master device transmits a synchronization request, comprising a digital content identifier for identifying the digital content, to the slave device(s). The master device determines a number of negative responses received from the slave device(s) in response to the synchronization request. Each negative response is indicative of one among the slave device(s) not being capable of displaying the digital content. The master device transmits a new synchronization request to the slave computing device(s) if the number of received negative responses reaches a threshold. The master computing device transmits a display command to the slave device(s) for displaying the digital content on their respective display(s) if the number of received negative responses does not reach the threshold.

  • Patent number: 10984543
Abstract: A vehicle can use an image sensor to both detect objects and determine depth data associated with the environment the vehicle is traversing. The vehicle can capture image data and lidar data using the various sensors. The image data can be provided to a machine-learned model trained to output depth data of an environment. Such models may be trained, for example, by using lidar data and/or three-dimensional map data associated with a region in which training images and/or lidar data were captured as ground truth data. The autonomous vehicle can further process the depth data and generate additional data including localization data, three-dimensional bounding boxes, and relative depth data and use the depth data and/or the additional data to autonomously traverse the environment, provide calibration/validation for vehicle sensors, and the like.

  • Patent number: 10986308
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed towards reframing videos from one aspect ratio to another aspect ratio while maintaining visibility of regions of interest. A set of regions of interest are determined in frames in a video with a first aspect ratio. The set of regions of interest can be used to estimate an initial camera path. An optimal camera path is determined by leveraging the identified regions of interest using the initial camera path. Sub crops with a second aspect ratio different from the first aspect ratio of the video are identified. The sub crops are placed as designated using the optimal camera path to generate a cropped video with the second aspect ratio.

  • Patent number: 10970877
Abstract: An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, and a program that permit camera calibration with high accuracy by using a known object in images captured by a plurality of imaging sections. An estimation section estimates a 3D position of a road sign included in each of images captured by a plurality of cameras with respect to each of the imaging sections. A recognition section recognizes a positional relationship between the plurality of cameras on the basis of the 3D position of the road sign with respect to each of the cameras estimated by the estimation section. The positional relationship between the plurality of cameras recognized by the recognition section is used to correct the images captured by the plurality of cameras.

  • Patent number: 10955657
Abstract: An endoscopic camera has two or more cameras positioned at a distal end, positioned to provide partially overlapping fields of view. The cameras communicate captured digital images the length of the flexible endoscope, where they may be saved and processed to provide additional imaging features. With partially overlapping images from two or more cameras, image processing can provide panoramic images, super resolution images, and three-dimensional images. One or more of these image modes may also be enhanced to provide a virtualization window that displays a portion of a larger or higher resolution image. The virtualization window displays the selected area of the image, and may be moved or zoomed around the image to provide a virtual endoscope repositioning experience, where the endoscope remains statically positioned but the virtualization window presents a sense of movement and navigation around the surgical area.

  • Patent number: 10955650
Abstract: Two-pass capture of a macro image. In an embodiment, a scanning apparatus comprises a stage, a high-resolution camera, and a lens that provides a field of view, substantially equal in width to a slide width, to the high-resolution camera. The apparatus also comprises a first illumination system for transmission-mode illumination, and a second illumination system for reflection-mode illumination. Processor(s) move the stage in a first direction to capture a first macro image of a specimen during a single pass while the field of view is illuminated by the first illumination system, and move the stage in a second direction to capture a second macro image of the specimen during a single pass while the field of view is illuminated by the second illumination system. The processor(s) identify artifacts in the second macro image, and, based on those artifacts, correct the first macro image to generate a modified first macro image.

  • Patent number: 10945041
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are provided for language-agnostic subtitle drift detection and localization. A method may include extracting audio from video, dividing the audio into overlapping blocks, and determining the probabilities of overlapping portions of the blocks, the probabilities indicating a presence of voice data represented by the audio in the blocks. The method may generate machine blocks using overlapping portions of blocks where voice data is present, and may map the machine blocks to corresponding blocks indicating that subtitles are available for the video. For mapped blocks, the method may include determining features such as when subtitles are available without voice audio, when voice audio is available without subtitles, and when voice audio and subtitles both are available. Using the features, the method may include determining the probability that the video includes subtitle drift, and the method may include analyzing the video to localize where the subtitle drift occurs.
