Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to user interfaces and systems that may enable dynamic and interactive access of, investigation of, and analysis of data objects stored in one or more databases. The data objects may be accessed from the one or more databases, and presented in multiple related portions of a display. In particular, the system provides a time-based visualization of data objects (and/or properties associated with the data objects) to a user such that the user may, for example, determine connections between various data objects, observe flows of information among data objects, and/or investigate related data objects.

Abstract: A method for managing a task on a terminal device and the terminal device are provided. The method for managing a task on a terminal device may include: monitoring whether a first application on the terminal device is running, and monitoring a user's action of operating a desktop of the terminal device; and displaying, on the desktop of the terminal device, a running-state icon corresponding to the first application if it is detected that the first application is running, and disabling the first application if it is detected that the first application is running and the detected user action meets a preset disabling condition corresponding to the first application; or displaying, on the desktop of the terminal device, a disabled-state icon corresponding to the first application if it is detected that the first application is in a disabled state.

Abstract: Techniques for enhancing a mufti-tasking user interface of an operating system are disclosed. An update data item pertaining to an application placed in the background on the device is received. An update image is generated to include information pertaining to the update data item. The update image is incorporated into a multitasking user interface of the operating system such that the update image is presented to a user and the user may view the information pertaining to the update data item before choosing whether to bring the application to the foreground.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and media for associating scenes depicted in media content with a map of where the media content was produced are provided. In some embodiments, a method for presenting map information with video information is provided, the method comprising: receiving a request for a video from a user device; determining if there is location information associated with portions of the video; in response to determining that there is location information associated with the video, causing first map information corresponding to the location information to be presented in a first format during presentation of the video; receiving an indication that the first map information has been selected; in response to receiving the indication, causing second map information corresponding to the portion of the video that was being presented to be presented by the user device, wherein the second map information is presented in a second format.

Abstract: A system and approach for dragging an entire device from a navigation tree to a chart which may result in a plotting of all its data sources at once on a chart as provided by a processor. Another source may be added before completion of a loading of a previous source. If there appear too many sources to visualize at once, then one or more sources may be removed from the chart.

In some embodiments, one or more live images may be received from an image capturing component on a mobile device. Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for facilitating a user to configure and retrieve personalized settings for an information panel in a driving apparatus. The information panel system may be configured to store a plurality information panel configurations. Different information panel configurations may correspond to different users of the driving apparatus. Users may be identified when inside the driving apparatus by capturing their biometric information. Following identification, an information panel configuration corresponding to the identified user may be retrieved and configured on a display device. The displayed information panel configuration may include an arrangement of display items. The display items may have been previously selected by the identified user, and the selection may have included choosing an information panel template with one or more partitioned areas and selecting one or more display items to place in different partitioned areas.

The program includes a sequence of multiple segments each corresponding to different time periods, multiple selectable tracks and multiple levels within each track. The program data indicates rules for the program that are used to vary the interactive content provided to different users. The program data is used to identify a rule that correspond to a current segment, a current track, and a current level in the program for a particular user. A trigger and one or more conditions specified by the identified rule is be determined to be satisfied, and in response, content specified by the identified rule is provided for display on the mobile computing device associated with the particular user.

Certain items of the content items in the scrollable list may represent natural or desirable breakpoints for scrolling through the list. As a list view scrolls through the scrollable list in response to user input, the list view may suspend scrolling when it reaches a breakpoint content item. In some embodiments, a computing device may determine that a given content item represents a breakpoint in the scrollable list based on a breakpoint rule. The breakpoint rule may be based on any suitable criteria for identifying the content item as a breakpoint for scrolling the list. For example, the breakpoint rule may be based on the content of the content item or a category of the content item.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing adaptive background playback behavior is provided herein. Embodiments of the method include steps of playing a media item in a media viewer executing on a processor of a computing device. The media item includes both an audio component and a video component. The method further includes steps of detecting an event that causes the playing of the video component of the media item to be suspended and of identifying data pertaining to user behavior associated with the event. Additionally, the method includes determining whether to continue playing the audio component of the media item in view of the identified data.

Abstract: An approach for sharing information. The approach includes a method that includes generating, by at least one computing device, a message within a communication layer overlaid on a web page. The method further includes generating a screen shot of the web page. The method further includes sending the screen shot and the message to another user as a memo configured to be displayed on the communication layer overlaid on the web page on a receiving computing device.
