Abstract: The disclosed embodiments relate to a system for presenting navigation options to a user of a mobile application. During operation, the system receives usage data comprising a record of actions performed while the user was interacting with the mobile application. Next, the system analyzes the usage data to identify areas of interest within the mobile application that the user is likely to access. The system then constructs a set of personalized navigation options for the user based on the identified areas of interest, and possibly other areas of the application based on promotional considerations. Finally, the system outputs the set of personalized navigation options to be presented to the user through a navigation pane in the mobile application, wherein the navigation pane includes shortcuts to the set of personalized navigation options.

Abstract: Embodiments describe a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium encoded with instructions, executable by a processor, comprising instructions for a method for performing a biological workflow in silico comprising: presenting to a user a plurality of subroutines listed in a sequential order of the workflow, wherein at least two subroutines comprise two steps; providing the user ability to navigate to any subroutine and/or step, to select a subroutine, to view, set, or change one or more parameters associated with step/subroutine; providing option to display biomolecule(s) resulting from execution of the subroutines/steps; and providing an option to navigate to a prior subroutine and change a parameter of a step of the prior subroutine and execute the step of the prior subroutine, if the user is not satisfied with the displayed biomolecule(s). Computer systems and methods for performing a biological workflow in silico are also described.

At least one cluster is automatically located to a respective content placeholder included in the layout template. The clusters with the layout template are presented in accordance with the automatically locating of the clusters.

Abstract: The present disclosure involves methods, systems, and devices, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing a generic refresh of displayed content on computing devices, e.g., handheld devices. In one aspect, a method comprises displaying on a screen of the device a content area and a tab area comprising at least one tab. The content area is being refreshed upon receiving an activation of the tab followed by a command associated to a dragging of the tab towards a center of the screen followed by a command associated to a release of the tab, wherein the command associated to a dragging of the tab towards the center of the screen is received while receiving the activation of the tab. In some instances, the refreshing of the content area causes the content area to display updated web content associated to the tab.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for creating shared virtual spaces (“rooms”). A room may be created when a user first shares images with another user. A user may send a request to a content management system to share one or more images with various contacts. In response, a room is created by the content management system in which a copy of each image is stored. Images added to a room are copied to a separate “rooms” database, and “locked,” being saved in the room for a period of time, which may be indefinitely. Changes made by the user to a room via a user device may be displayed as soon as indicated, without waiting for the information to be sent to a system server or its state to be made consistent with that of the user device. Room activity notifications may be sent to members in various ways.

The set of steps includes providing a newsroom script to a user via a user interface; receiving a selected portion of an on-air text portion of the newsroom script from the user via the user interface; and retrieving, from a media database, media associated with the newsroom script. The set of steps further includes submitting content to the publish point, wherein the content includes text associated with the selected portion of the on-air text portion, and wherein the content further includes the retrieved media.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling the appearance of application windows on a computer display screen. A user identifies either an application window currently running on the computer or a new application to be started. The user also identifies a size, shape, and screen location by inputting a geometric shape, such as by drawing a rectangle with a pen or stylus input device, on the display screen. The appearance of the application window is set based on the geometric shape. The application window is resized and moved, for a currently running application, or created, for a new application, on the display screen.
