Abstract: Systems and methods for generating embeddings for nodes of a corpus graph are presented. More particularly, operations for generation of an aggregated embedding vector for a target node is efficiently divided among operations on a central processing unit and operations on a graphic processing unit. With regard to a target node within a corpus graph, processing by one or more central processing units (CPUs) is conducted to identify the target node's relevant neighborhood (of nodes) within the corpus graph. This information is prepared and passed to one or more graphic processing units (GPUs) that determines the aggregated embedding vector for the target node according to data of the relevant neighborhood of the target node.

Abstract: A user agent (UA).1 presents a selection screen for selecting function information for calling a function provided by a service in a network with use of the UA.1. Upon detecting that an import button is pressed on the selection screen, the UA.1 acquires a UA list with use of an Intent technique to display the UA list. Upon a selection of a UA.2 from this list, the UA.1 requests the function information to the UA.2, and presents the selection screen in such a manner that the function information acquired based on the request is further included in the selection screen.

Abstract: According to the invention, it is possible to efficiently construct an environment for implementing an IT system. Provided is an environment construction support device. The environment construction support device stores a tree structure model that is information representing an environment for implementing an IT system in a tree structure and can be updated as needed, a construction script structure that is information related to a construction script that is a series of codes for constructing the environment and can be updated as needed, and parameter correspondence information that is information indicating a correspondence between an element of the tree structure model and an element of the construction script, and updates the parameter correspondence information to correspond to latest contents of the tree structure model and the construction script structure by comparing at least one of the tree structure model and the construction script structure with the parameter correspondence information.

Abstract: A pill cutter attachable to a pill bottle for splitting a pill to form a split pill that includes a pill cutter body extending between first and second body ends. The first body end presents a first surface for holding a pill. A lid is coupled to the first body end, is moveable between open and closed positions, and presents a second surface facing the first surface when in the closed position. A cutting instrument is coupled to the second surface of the lid and is configured to split the pill to form a split pill when the lid is moved from the open position toward the closed position. A cutter connector extends away from the second body end of the pill cutter body. The cutter connector is configured to attach rotatably to a pill bottle to collectively define a holding chamber for holding the split pill.

Abstract: New data structures for analyzing a log are generated. A hierarchical data structure includes a plurality of hierarchical nodes. Each node is associated with data and metadata. Each node may also be associated with analysis data. Information (data, metadata, and/or analysis data) of an ancestor node is imputed to a descendant node; a descendant node inherits the information of an ancestor node. When determining analysis data for a particular hierarchical node, information from any ancestor node to the particular hierarchical node may be used; however, information from non-ancestor nodes is not necessarily used. A timeline data structure includes a reference to a hierarchical node within a hierarchical data structure and a reference to an event type. The timeline data structure is thereby associated with the information of the referenced hierarchical node and information of any ancestor nodes to the referenced hierarchical node.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for facilitating user engagement with a bot. One example method includes receiving user input indicative of a user activity. Responsive to the user input, a first server accesses a sequence specification for implementing the user activity. The sequence specification comprises a sequence of interactions with a plurality of service servers. The first server executes the sequence specification by invoking the plurality of service servers to provide services to implement the user activity in accordance with the sequence of interactions specified by the sequence specification.

Abstract: System and method for recipe discovery and consumption logging. Improved solutions enable intelligent management of a user's personal fitness journey i.e., based on their overall health in their exercise and dietary habits. In one exemplary embodiment, recipes may be curated and tagged from a variety of sources such as health and fitness blogs and/or other articles of interest. Recipe tagging ensures that users can retrieve only the specific recipes of interest to them from a variety of sources which may be focused on the public at large. Additionally, the recipe discovery and consumption logging interface may enable users to log actual consumption activity for a selected recipe, including ad hoc user modifications to recipe ingredients.

Abstract: A clamping assembly includes first and second jaws supported above a base in opposed, spaced-apart alignment on opposite sides of a central clamp axis, each jaw having a proximal end portion adjacent the base and an opposite distal end portion, where the jaws are pivotable between an open position and a closed position. A wedge movable along the central clamp axis between the proximal end portions of the pair of jaws in response to moving a handle between a first handle position and a second handle position. A cam assembly between the wedge and the base includes a cam, a follower on the proximal handle end portion, and a spring between the cam and the base. Compressing the spring increases an axial distance between the cam and the wedge.

Abstract: A plurality of computing devices are communicatively coupled to each other via a network, and each of the plurality of computing devices is operably coupled to one or more of a plurality of storage devices. A plurality of failure resilient address spaces are distributed across the plurality of storage devices such that each of the plurality of failure resilient address spaces spans a plurality of the storage devices. The plurality of computing devices maintains metadata that maps each failure resilient address space to one of the plurality of computing devices. The metadata is grouped into buckets. Each bucket is stored in the backend of a computing device. Access to a storage device may be managed according to an availability of the storage device. Reads from and writes to a storage device may be redirected when, for example, the storage device is over-utilized or performing garbage collection.

Abstract: A remanufacturing method of a drill includes providing a drill with a worn-out area. The drill comprises: a shank part; and a flute part arranged on one end of the shank part. A chisel edge is formed on the front end of the flute part, and the radius of any one of the cross section of the chisel edge is defined as a core thickness; a first blade and a second blade with tilt directions toward the shank part are formed on the two sides of the chisel edge. The first circumferential surface of the first blade and the second circumferential surface of the second blade are respectively extended and spiraled toward the shank part along a periphery of the flute part and form two helical cutting edges, a first debris-discharging groove and a second debris-discharging groove. The first blade comprises a first cutting edge. The first cutting edge and the first circumferential surface define the worn-out area.

Abstract: Shear tools are described. In one version, the shear tools include a pair of pivotally movable jaws positioned between sideplates. Various shearing dies are also described. Also described are systems and related methods utilizing the shear tools and dies which enable convenient shearing or severing of workpieces such as threaded rods.

Abstract: Embodiments include generating data models that may give semantic meaning for unstructured or structured data that may include data generated and/or received by search engines, including a time series engine. A method includes generating a data model for data stored in a repository. Generating the data model includes generating an initial query string, executing the initial query string on the data, generating an initial result set based on the initial query string being executed on the data, determining one or more candidate fields from one or results of the initial result set, generating a candidate data model based on the one or more candidate fields, iteratively modifying the candidate data model until the candidate data model models the data, and using the candidate data model as the data model.

Abstract: A hair length mapping or cutting device uses multiple comb elements to capture bunches of hair as it is traversed across a scalp. The comb elements are traversed away from the scalp to individually measure or cut each bunch of hair to length. Hair may be cut to conform to a hair style mapped, for instance, from an earlier measurement of a hair style.

A first character model comprises a first set of attribute values for the plurality of attributes of a first character. The first and second characters are associated with a first and second salience value, respectively. A second character model comprises a second set of attribute values for the plurality of attributes of a second character of the plurality of characters. A first character rating is calculated using the plurality of preference coefficients and the first set of attribute values. A second character rating of the second character is calculated using the plurality of preference coefficients with the second set of attribute values. A media rating is calculated based on the first and second salience values and the first and second character ratings. A media is recommended based on the media rating.

Abstract: An impact tool includes a core and a plurality of projections. The core is formed of a first material that has a first specific gravity and each projection is formed of a second material that has a second specific gravity. The plurality of projections is configured on the core such that at least two projections intersect a first hypothetical plane disposed on the first side of the core and at least two projections intersect a second hypothetical plane disposed on the second side of the core and that is opposably facing the first side. Abstract: Disclosed is technology for storing original work data on a derivative work data blockchain along with code for verifying that derivative work data is derivative of the original work data. The technology involves receiving derivative work data from a submitting entity along with proof data showing that the derivative work is derivative of the original work. If the derivative work data is verified as derivative, then the derivative work data is appended to the derivative work data blockchain.
