  • Patent number: 10381716
Abstract: This application proposes multi-beam antenna systems using spherical lens with high isolation between antenna ports and compatible to 2×2, 4×4, 8×8 MIMO transceivers. Several compact multi-band, multi-beam solutions (with wideband operation, 40%+, in each band) are achieved by creating dual-band radiators movable on a track around one or more spherical lenses and by placing lower band radiators between spherical lenses. By using secondary lenses for high band radiators, coupling between low band and high band radiators is reduced. Beam tilt range and side lobe suppression are improved through phase shifting and/or a rotational angle of radiators. A wide beam tilt range (0-40 degree) can be achieved via the proposed multi-beam antenna systems. Each beam can be independently tilted. Based on proposed single and multi-lens antenna solutions, cell coverage improvements and stadium tribune coverage optimization are also achieved, together with a reduction in interference.

  • Patent number: 10367745
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for providing an NoC including a configurable array of nodes, where a node of the configurable array of nodes operates in a default operating mode until a replacement operating mode is triggered. For example, when an NoC is unconfigured, a latch bank may be initialized to “clear,” such that no routing decisions are stored. This may enable a default operating mode where routing logic updates the latches' values as needed to implement required routing behavior in a dynamic fashion until configuration is performed.

  • Patent number: 10348526
Abstract: For radio channel estimation, frequency-domain samples of a reference signal received by multiple antenna elements are obtained. The frequency-domain samples are converted to time-domain samples covering different time intervals. By removing phase information from the time-domain samples, the time-domain samples are converted to corresponding signal strength values. The signal strength values obtained for the multiple antenna elements are summed for each of the time intervals. At least one of the frequency domain samples and the time-domain samples are filtered based on the summed signal strength values. Radio channel estimation is then performed based on the filtered samples.

  • Patent number: 10326553
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a systematic code decoding method and an apparatus. The method includes: extracting a non-erased original packet from an acquired encoded packet that has passed through an erasure channel; and then by using the erased original packet as an unknown variable, obtaining an erased original packet by parsing according to a first equation. Because a quantity F of erased original packets is far less than a total quantity K of original packets, a dimension of the first equation that includes F unknown variables is far lower than a dimension of an equation indicating a correspondence between an encoded packet and an intermediate packet. An operation amount required for parsing the relatively low-dimensional first equation is far smaller, thereby greatly reducing an operation amount required for decoding.

  • Patent number: 10327206
Abstract: Embodiments herein provide a TCP optimizer (TO) and method for controlling TCP packets due to closure of a TCP connection for power saving. The method includes monitoring TCP closures, for controlling the TCP packets. The TO can be configured to determine a pattern of TCP packets based on a plurality of parameters associated with a TCP connection. Further, the TO can be configured to detect that the pattern corresponds to a TCP closure retransmission or TCP zero window closure category based on a historic pattern of TCP packets. Further, the TO can be configured to terminate the TCP connection. The proposed method allows controlling TCP packets to save power in a mobile device thus improving the life time of a battery of the mobile device.

  • Patent number: 10320509
Abstract: Techniques for generating a fail safe clock signal improves reliability of one or more output clock signals generated based on one or more input clock signals and an internally generated reference clock signal. By continuously monitoring the frequencies of the one or more input clock signals and reducing or eliminating effects of any static frequency offset between multiple input clock signals, the fail safe clock generator can detect very small relative frequency changes between the inputs or within a particular input. By comparing the input clock frequencies against a reference clock signal frequency over time of a clock signal generated by an internal oscillator, the fail safe clock generator may further detect which one of multiple input clocks has frequency deviation. The fail safe clock generator uses an internal oscillator generating a reference clock signal having a short-term stable frequency.
