  • Patent number: 11190701
Abstract: A method for object tracking. The method includes capturing a sequence of images of a scene, detecting, by a hardware processor, based on a pattern of local light change across the sequence of images, a reflective light source in the scene, comparing, by the hardware processor in response to detecting the reflective light source, a location of the reflective light source in at least one image of the sequence of images and a target position within the at least one image to generate a result, and generating, by the hardware processor based on the result, a control signal for changing a field-of-view of a camera device such that the reflective light source substantially aligns with the target position within the field-of-view, wherein the reflective light source emits an object-reflected light.

  • Patent number: 11190727
Abstract: Systems and methods for reducing interference between content play and video recording among multiple devices located proximate to each other. Microphones of devices recording video are muted, or content play is interrupted, according to the actions of a majority of nearby devices. For example, if most devices are recording video, content play may be interrupted to prevent the video from unintentionally recording unwanted sounds from play of the content. Conversely, if most devices are not recording video, only those devices which are may have their microphones muted. Actions to reduce interference may be taken according to the current behavior of a majority of proximate devices.

  • Patent number: 11184578
Abstract: A system and method are presented for recording audio and video of an individual within a kiosk on separate audio and video computers that are locally connected to the kiosk. Instructions are provided to the individual through a locally connected controller computer. A remote user computer requests recorded data from the kiosk. The controller computer prompts the audio and video computers to separately stream audio and video to the remote user computer. The controller computer divides the audio and video data into time segments, and then presents different versions of the session to different users, with each different version comprising a different set of time segments. A central system server provides searching capabilities to the user computer to search and request data from a plurality of remotely located kiosks, each having separate controller, audio, and video computers.

  • Patent number: 11176967
Abstract: In various examples, recordings of gameplay sessions are enhanced by the application of special effects to relatively high(er) and/or low(er) interest durations of the gameplay sessions. Durations of relatively high(er) or low(er) predicted interest in a gameplay session are identified, for instance, based upon level of activity engaged in by a gamer during a particular gameplay session duration. Once identified, different variations of video characteristic(s) are applied to at least a portion of the identified durations for implementation during playback. The recordings may be generated and/or played back in real-time with a live gameplay session, or after completion of the gameplay session. Further, video data of the recordings themselves may be modified to include the special effects and/or indications of the durations and/or variations may be included in metadata and used for playback.

  • Patent number: 11170817
Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a video editor that can identify and track objects (e.g., products) in a video. The video editor identifies a particular object in one frame of the video and tracks the location of the object in the video. The video editor can update a position of an indicator that tracks the location of the object in the video. In addition, the video editor can identify an identification (ID) of the object which the editor can use to suggest annotations that provide additional information about the object. Once modified, the video is displayed on a user device, and when the viewer sees an object she can is interested in, she can pause the video which causes the indicator to appear. The user can select the indicator which prompts the user device to display the annotations corresponding to the object.

  • Patent number: 11164602
Abstract: A method, a mobile device, and a computer program product for detecting loss of attention during play of media content in a mobile device. The method includes, during playback of first media content, receiving first data indicative of whether a consumer of the first media content is actively consuming the first media content. The method further includes evaluating, based on a comparison of the first data with comparative data, whether the first data indicates that the consumer is likely not currently paying attention to playback of the first media content. The method further includes identifying, based on a time of receipt of the first data that indicates that the consumer is not paying attention, a first time within the first media content at which the consumer stopped paying attention during the playback and resetting a playback location of the first media content to continue playback from the first time.

  • Patent number: 11159743
Abstract: Systems and methods are described for determining that the user interaction with a display of a computing device during display of a video comprising a sequence of frames indicates a region of interest in a current frame of the sequence of frames of the displayed video. For each frame of the sequence of frames after the current frame, the frame is cropped to generate a cropped frame comprising a portion of the frame including the region of interest in the frame, the cropped frame is enlarged based on a display size corresponding to an angle or orientation of the computing device during display of the video, and the enlarged cropped frame replaces the frame such that the enlarged cropped frame is displayed in the sequence of frames of the video on the display of the computing device instead of the frame.

  • Patent number: 11156720
Abstract: A crime scene is recorded as to the locations of key evidence such as a knife in relation to a victim's body. The criminalist places a stand next to each piece of evidence. An onboard RTK/GNSS receiver displays the latitude, longitude and altitude of each marker. Additional data such as case number, classification of evidence, number assigned to evidence, weather and comments can be entered into the RTK/GNSS device remotely or by a keyboard attached to the marker. A photo is taken of each marker screen. A UAV is launched over the field of evidence. A local transmission of the RTK/GNSS data can be sent to and stored in a portable electronic device. That device can send the data to a UAV and/or to a central computer. The central computer can use the recorded coordinates to visually recreate the crime scene to a jury years later with accurate representation of relational data among all the items of evidence.

  • Patent number: 11151980
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for detecting dubbed speech in a media asset and receiving metadata corresponding to the media asset. The systems and methods may determine a plurality of scenes in the media asset based on the metadata, retrieve a portion of the dubbed speech corresponding to the first scene, and process the retrieved portion of the dubbed speech corresponding to the first scene to identify a speech characteristic of a character featured in the first scene. Further, the systems and methods may determine whether the speech characteristic of the character featured in the first scene matches the context of the first scene, and if the match fails, perform a function to adjust the portion of the dubbed speech so that the speech characteristic of the character featured in the first scene matches the context of the first scene.
